Here in Cali, if you didn't pay your ticket there is a big chance that it will come up when you get your license; this happened to two of my friends, when they got their fingerprint 'n all taken @ the DMV the lady told them "oh you have an outstanding ticket for driving without a license"

it happened to both of my cousins, you may be right since I only know their side of the story, knowing mi tía tho I doubt they made a single late payment; I know they called, 'cause i was there, and they were told that they were supposed to ask for their "case" to be reviewed O.o dunno. did you change your social in BofA and @ work? You got to remember that they'll verify the info you give them, so you got to have your income and assets associated to your new SS#If you have done this I suggest you get the Capital One secured Master Card I don't like BofA, their Interest rate is too High and I know of people that haven't received their "deposit" back after a year of good standing. I'm a strong believer that Money is King and I like to invest and watch my finances carefully; I saved enough and bought my car cash (it wasn't an old car) did the same with everything I own. It is hard but very possible; the problem comes when you need the vehicle NOW 'cause you have to move from home, work and school that is when credit comes in handy, You can buy a house too But since you aren't "building your credit" you will need to find a mortgage company that does actual underwriting, and you would have to have a good down payment, obviously you won't get too big a loan. Like I said don't bite more than you can chew; I'm sure you have read Ramsey's statistics @ Afrosana you can see that there are people who is able to use CC and be smart about it, so I'm just giving my fellow DREAMers the benefit of the doubt. I say read the form I-931 that came with your work permit, it talks about Parole and how entry to US is not guaranteed. Just as reference my Salvadorian friend was denied re-entry, but she has TPS dunno if Parole works the same way with us or not Good luck

Thanks for your input, but per the information I have collected in this forum and the source you provided, unless you notify the Credit Bureau previous credit in ITIN is not transferred. I understand that passport, matricula and b-certificate have the same info; are you implying that previous credit history will be carried on regardless of the new SS# since the bank has your name and birthdate from your passport/matricula? Thank you for your answer, I would like to pass down as much info as I can to my friend.

Ok, so this is a question from a friend of mine ( I tried convincing him to sign up, but doesn't have a comp), so I'll pass down the info w/him About 5 years ago he had BofA using his ITIN, and because of overdraft fees he ended up owing them, if he wants to apply for an acct with his name and new ss# would his name "pop up" as a debtor? My reasoning is no, 'cause of the new SS #, but he says they took a picture of him?! O.o
