Those who entered with a visa what did you put down on your application in the "Current Immigration Status" tab on the i-765 application? I have a friend who entered the country with a visa for visiting pleasure only and he is wondering what he should put down since his visa expired and he overstayed the time period he was allowed for visiting Your help is greatly appreciated

I just used my birth certificate and my EAD card. That is weird that some office are being so different than others. The one I went to they told me I couldn't use my passport as a form of id and that you always need your birth certificate when I applying for a SSN for the first time and I went the next day after receiving my EAD card and they said nothing about a waiting period.

I received a notice that my EAD card was shipped and I checked my status and it is not there. I don't know if they might not do it for everyone

Stay optimistic. And try not to stress about it so much. My timeline is similar to yours and I just got approved yesterday. When I least expected it I got the notification. So don't worry it's just taking longer for some

Hi I have already been approved recently but as I am reading I wasn't aware you could just go and walk-in before your biometrics appointment. I thought you had to wait but I guess a lot of people have just walk-in and for future notice for other people I was wondering how is that you can do that? You just go and tell them you want to take the biometrics? And is it like that in every state?

Hi I am from Cali and I recently got approved and I was wondering how long did it take for you guys to receive it in the mail after you were approved? And how long is the SSN taking to arrive also? And when you go to the office do they assign you a number right away or you find out till you get the SSN card in the mail? Thanks

Congrats to all those who have been approved and to those who haven't you need to be patient. I know I was stressing out about it too because I heard of other people getting their EDAs and I had applied before them. So I guess we can all figure out that some are just lucky and some of us have to wait a little longer. But keep the optimism and you will get it. They received my application September 10 and I did the biometrics on October 15 and January 29 I received the email that I had been approved and they had order the production of my card. So hopefully for a lot of you January was the month for you too. Best of luck! And don't loose faith
