Those can be extremely valuable as long as they have your name on them. What I'm telling you is from a perspective of doing things safe, like I said, you don't want to receive a notice of RFE or request for evidence. As insignificant as anything you may have to show may seem, it is better to be safe than sorry.

It advisable to gather as much proof as you can to prove to them continuous presence of five years. The last thing you want is to send in your application to later receive a notice from USCIS letting you know you lack evidence and that you have to provide more. People have done what they can to show physical presence during those five years. Try digging a little deeper to gather evidence. I've heard of people using dated photographs of places in the U.S. Marked and dated mail letters, receipts from online purchases, even facebook!! If you simply cannot find anything at all for the seven month gap, I highly recommend you to contact an attorney to better advise you. As I mentioned; you don't want USCIS to send you a letter requesting more evidence.

Do you have anything at all, that dates back to late 2006? Maybe something from December of 2006?

For anyone who already have taken their biometrics test, what should we expect?

According the thread on on your signature section your appointment is October 5th. Did you do the walk-in? Did it go well? -

hmmm, I thought those two notices were for everybody to keep, after all they are receipts. It doesn't make sense to me that the asc would want to schedule people again just to return those two receipts... But okayy -

HarikaTuzun, the information provided is much appreciated. I would like to know however, what time was your appointment? It would also be nice to know how long did it all take. Thanks in advance! Best of luck! -

I haven't actually gone to my appointment yet since its still due in 12 days. From what I know, when you get a biometric besides getting your photograph taken and fingerprints, you must also fill out a form which is basically about you. Things like your height, weight etc. This is what I know that happens in biometric checks. It is anticipated to be the same for us applying for DACA. -
maryR, I found this article on USCIS website that might be useful. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=9059d9808bcbd010VgnVCM100000d1f1d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=b3be194d3e88d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD

I'm not sure to believe that people actually did this. I mean, we're talking about a major U.S entity here (USCIS) when they tell you something or give you directions, you do it. That's my opinion. I will be patient and do everything accordingly.

Where were you during the 9/11 Attacks? How did you hear about it?
Aled replied to Admin's topic in General Discussions
EPIC face? Anyway on 9/11 I remember being twelve years old, I was in school on science class. It was early morning about 8:45 am. It was typical of my science teacher to listen to his radio at that time, so as everything was happening we were hearing it. We also happened to have a tv in class, that's when the teacher forgot all about the class, turned on the tv and we tuned in. This was a time of great confusion as well as fear. Living in Massachusetts next to New York, we thought we were going to be attacked at some point. It was all too terrible... -

I know this won't help much but why don't you give them a call and ask them to further explain that...

My case was routed to Vermont...

Ever since I've been here in the U.S I have acted as if I was from here. Obviously my family and long time friends know my status, but really, for me I have a big preference of keeping my status situation to myself. I can be opened about it given the right circumstances and or with certain people. I just haven't taken the time to think of a good reason for me to actually be opened about it...
-
Obviously everyone has different circumstances when it comes to having an ID. In my case, I do posses a valid passport which I'll be using that day (it doesn't expire until 2015 thank god). I do not anticipate for a biometric check to be a damn hassle. I mean hopefully not, but whatever's gotta be done it gets done. With me I'll probably take a binder with a couple of extra documents just in case, such as birth certificate, I also have with me an extra set of passport photos which I'll bring with me. As far as what I'm going to wear on that day, that is the last thing I'll worry about...

Thank you all for your input. I tend to worry just about everything, and the fact that I didn't send in those two photos has me pretty damn irritated. >.<

PSW83, thanks for your input on these things dude! Very interesting indeed, especially for people like who've just sent in their app. I have never head of such things as a I-797 form. Can you give some references to look out for these?

Did you already get your biometric appointment Ale? -
Hi deyr, I also happen to have a job and yes I used a fake ssn to get the job. I will not be providing any documents from my workplace as proof of me being here though. What I'm doing is asking a professional about it...

how can you prove that you entered the u.s. without inspection before June 15, 2012?
Aled replied to Nuvi's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Hello Nuvi, So as pasw83 explained, yes entering the U.S without inspection simply means that you entered the U.S illegally without getting caught. Obviously this you do not have to prove, after all how can you prove that you entered the U.S supposing you crossed the border. You're not going to have a receipt from the Coyote that says the date which you crossed. What you need to prove if you entered without a visa, is that you came into the U.S before the age of 16. That you must already know. Easy way to prove that is through medical records, immunization records or school records. If you entered the U.S with a visa you may show them a copy of your I-94 card or entry stamp. These are useful for you to prove the date in which you entered the U.S -
Deportation because of the Deferred Action Policy? (lawyer needed?)
Aled replied to Selene's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Hello Selena, The worst position anyone can be in, is if you're uninformed or misinformed. That doesn't appear to be your case, deferred action is a huge deal for us. This is suppose to change our lives, obviously insecurities and fears about certain things are bound to set in. From my experience since the very beginning that this policy was announced I highly considered hiring an attorney, but I've informed myself through many sources. I have attended community meetings made specifically to educate us dreamers about this new policy, what I've been told by actual lawyers at these meetings is that hiring a lawyer is mostly required for this process if you ever had an encounter with the law. If you have an absolute clean record and you have the means to pay their usual high fees, go ahead and hire one if that makes you feel better, however, a lawyer cannot guarantee that you're application gets approved nor can they speed up your process. This application is also anticipated to be easy enough to do it on your own. I will not be hiring an attorney, after all, I have found plenty of community organizations helping us dreamers fill out the application at little to no cost. My suggestion to you is that you find one,in your area to assist you with the process. Another important thing that I want to point out, and let's stay positive that on these elections turn out in our favor. In case these elections go the contrary, we must not have fear. And when I say fear, I mean we must not be afraid of applying for deferred action. It would be surreal for the government to use information against us. against so many of us. Its just not going happen (This may sounds subjective but its also what I've been told at these community meetings.) Don't be afraid if you know that you and no one in your house-hold has had serious encounters with the law. I'm also panicky about things, but me and you and many others are not alone. I'm going in! Good luck
