OK, so I just called and jesus christ... you guys weren't joking about talking to human computers. That was frustrating and I will never get those 15 minutes of my life back. I seriously wish I could have recorded that... After telling the lady I applied for Deferred Action and it will have been 6 months on Wednesday and I was still in Initial Review she asked me literally 4 times if I was calling about general information on applying for DACA or about a pending case. I gave her my case number after convincing her 4 times that my case was very much real, and asked her if there was a way to transfer my case to a lockbox that was moving faster than the Vermont location and I think her brain exploded. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and then came back and asked me to confirm that I was calling about an existing case that I applied for and that I hadn't been approved yet..... In summary, she said I could contact the lockbox of my choosing myself by sending in a letter asking to be transferred. I asked her what I should include in that letter other than my full name and case number and she said she didn't have that information. Holy batman, they are useless. Back to the waiting game.

Thanks @Genzinha! I haven't called... I haven't heard of one person who has successfully gotten any information out of them or sped their case along so I haven't bothered. Maybe I'll try on Monday. It's been forever.... I'm being super patient thankfully but it'd be really nice to get approved soon. @Luna, what else did they tell you? Just to call back? And why?

Bios Sept 26th and still waiting! I second Gezinha and really stress not to do anything until you have your paperwork and a green light. Don't get yourself in a bad situation and a bad start because of anxiousness. WOOOOOSAAAH. BE PATIENT!!

I think every single one of my friends smoke. It stinks no pun intended because it's bad for you but we are grown adults and everyone can do what ever they please so I try not to criticize or anything. I hate the smell of smoke and I have asthma so it really aggravates it but as long as I'm not in an enclosed area with smoke I just don't care. I'll even hang out with my friends outside while they have a cigarette and just make sure that the smoke is not blowing in my direction. To each their own! There are plenty of things that are bad for you that people do and it's not my job to tell them what they should or should not be doing.

YES!!! 131 days since my biometrics, 89 working days. I wish they did them in order! I have a deportation order so I knew it would take longer, just didn't think it'd take THIS long! GEESH! It's ok though... it's too cold to get my motorcycle license. I'm sure I'll have it by summer so I can cruise!

Ugh, so sorry! Never ever do ANYTHING without it being in writing. I don't even nanny without signing a contract. I'm very relieved to know you have a good support system and I hope that whatever your health situation may be, it improves and you find an even better job when the timing is right! Ahhhh, that's so frustrating. I'm sorry to hear that. Did you guys put anything in writing? First of all, don't stress. Just take the steps to figure it out. You've already been completely honest so keep being open and honest and bring up the agreement confidently and casually mentioning that was the plan you had settled on with her. Be positive and courteous but state the facts and don't present anything in question form, giving her an opportunity to tweak anything. If that doesn't go well, I would go to the employer and just present everything honestly and see if he would be willing to work that out with you. Put it in writing if you can!!! Good luck!

I think I'm going to come out to everyone once I get approved. My only reservation has been the wrong person knowing and using it against me for some reason. You never know, people are nuts. But once I get approved, I'd like to speak out and share my experience. It would not only be good for people to see a face of a Dreamer but for me as well, psychologically for my mental health lol
