You know what has freaked me out a bit? How many people with my name and generation from Colombia there are... I'm scared of any mixup in identity and having someone else's criminal record associated with me. Ok, I sound crazy now that I read that. Hahaha... This is one sick psychological experiment.

This Friday will be a month from when I had my biometrics appointment. I am going to channel in Luna and just forget about it for now... I am driving myself insane! Good luck everyone! Tell those maple syrup-making lumber jacks to get a move on!!!!!

Question... not a big deal at all, just curious: in parts 6 and 7 of the SSN application where they ask for your voluntary response of ethnicity and race, did you guys fill that out? I am in no way anything other than proud of being Latino but I almost always don't fill out race questions if it's not necessary. I don't want to be put at a disadvantage for anything, especially if my race has nothing to do with it.

Absolutely. No dilemma there for me. What the heck do you need your body for once it dies?

I hope so. There are enough risks that we make day to day and there is enough fear that we live with for this to be something to add to the list. We have to trust in the system and take advantage of this opportunity!

If I had known how simple it was, I would have gone the same or next day. I was so anxious and intimidated that I had commented about not messing with dates or appointments but it's completely safe to go early. Get your process moving faster!

I am doing exactly what Itzel mentioned... basically, my weekly expenses will be put on the card but I will keep the money I budgeted for those said expenses in my account and just schedule automatic payments to the credit card. I'm going to try to charge everything I would normally pay for to the credit card and pay it off. The only tough temptations will be having a CC during the holidays!!
