  1. Hmmm, I figured since I've been living in CA for 5 years that as soon as I was approved for DACA/Work Permit I would be able to apply as a in-state student... So does that mean I have to wait a year after getting my work permit to be considered for in state tuition?
  2. I recently applied to college in CA and was classified as an out of state student even though I've been living here for 5 years. I graduated from high school in TX 9 years ago and attended some college there too...so today I took the paperwork to be reclassified as a CA resident but was told my EAD does not allow me to establish residency and would have to pay out of state tuition even though I was able to prove I was physically here for more than a year. Does this sound right or did I just get someone that didn't know what they were talking about? This is what the college's website says: applicants must be citizens of the United States or legal aliens with an immigration status which allows them to establish domicile according to the laws of California
  3. I did bios on January 3rd and was approved Feb 27th and it was at the california center, very quick.
  4. So I went to the bank and there they approved me for a secured BoA credit card. So I guess if you get denied online just go the the bank personally.
  5. I applied for the citi one and Bank of America secured cards...I do have checking/saving with BoA for about 6 years now. I've been employed for 6 years at the same place and make about 30k a year. No debts. I will try going to Bank of America tomorrow and see why I wasn't approved.
  6. Wow, I can't even get approved for secured credit cards...wtf?
  7. License & IDs by State.

Really? So all I need to do is take those 2 documents and fill out an app? I guess that's why I didn't find a list on the dmv website.
  8. License & IDs by State.

What proof of residency did you guys in CA take for a DL? Will a bank statement and pay stub be enough? Pay stub has a different SS# though,
  9. I'm about to turn 27 in a month, do I still need to notify the Selective Service? I know I registered when I started college like 8 years ago, but I can't find any of the documents/number they sent me.
  10. That's what I thought, so I was a little surprised when I was denied. Hopefully it was just because I didn't use my full name as it appears in my SS card...I have no credit, so I doubt that's an issue.
  11. Ok, I applied for the capital one secured mastercard and the first time it told me I wasn't approved. I applied again but this time using my full name as it appears in my SS card(First time I only used first and last name), and instead of telling me I was denied it told me my application had been received and I would get an answer in the mail. Did any of you approved get an answer immediately?
  12. I know many of us have opened bank accounts with bank of america using our ITIN numbers, I myself have had my account for more than 5 years. My question is, what do we do after getting our SS #? Do we just go and tell them we have a SS and to use that number instead?
  13. I went today and they asked for both my birth certificate and passport....I had to come back later since I didn't take my birth certificate the first time. I got a different person and they still asked for both. Another thing, what did everyone say when they ask if you had used another social before? I said yes but only for work....that was the first time I went before they sent me to get my birth certificate, the second person didn't ask that.
  14. I Know Why We Waiting Longer!

It's been 5 years since I last went to college and I got approved in less than 2 months(bios jan8 and approved feb 28th).
