I finally got approved! Received a text at 8:45pm... Check online and I was APPROVED! 8 long months but my wait is finally over...

It's been a while since I've logged in. I'm the main provider at home and unfortunately I've had a rough time this past month. Out of curiosity I'd like to catch up with everyone I use to chap it up with here with. How's everyones cases? Unfortunately for me I have not yet been approved. March 4th was 6 months since they received my application, I called and they asked me to wait 2 more weeks. While speaking to him I asked and made sure that I didn't have a Request For Evidence on my case. Again, unfortunately I got no answer in that time frame. After speaking to someone over the phone they told me that I was eligible to put in a service request since it had been past the 6 months. This was done last Monday, March 18. They told me that I would have a response in 15 days. Hopefully I get something this week. Anyone else going through something like this? Anyone over the 6 months going through a different proccess? Still hoping for the best though! Hope to hear everyones expiriences. Best of luck to those of you who are still waiting.

Does anyone know of anyone with a past record or order of deportation that has applied for the DACA and been approved? Curious as to how these cases are being handled.

I'm curious to see as to how some of my neighbors from around my way are doing.

How's it going guys!? I'm Jose and I just recently came upon this forum, which by the way has been very informative & helpful. I live in San Diego. Much like many of you I'm currently attending college, I have an Associates in Business and I'm working on a Bachelors in Math. I pay for my education out of my own pocket so it's been a long and tough process but one that I will not give up on. I do whatever I can to make ends meet and to get by. I'm here to learn and hear about everyones findings and expiriences as well as to share mine. My application was received on Sept. 4, 2012 and I went in for biometrics on Sept. 28, 2012. I haven't heard anything since and I'm still patiently waiting. Still in Initial Review. Getting slightly nervous being that March 4th will be 6 months into the process. Upon my research I noticed that some of the members have been waiting about the same time that I have so it slightly calmed me down haha.. Anyways, I'm also here to meet new people! Anyone from San Diego!?! Hit me up! Good luck to all of you & Congradulations to those who have been approved, make us proud!

My brother was also just approved! On May 1st! Just found out today when the letters came in the mail! He just won a 10k scholarship last week and today he got this, he's working right now but he has a HUGE surprise waiting for him when he gets home. Congrats to all of you with your documents! He has the same timeline as me so look below, I'm still waiting... Maybe next week?! Maybe lol.

Honestly, I'm worried about my case at this point. Even though I meet all the requirements. I have no criminal record, I sent A LOT of evedince. At least one thing for every month that they asked and a little bit of everything that they recommend I send.

Strange how our applications seem to be taking this long. I feel like the way the approached this process was so unorganized. But still, it's a great opportunity that's been given to us. We can't get too picky lol. Patience is key.

I'm going to wait it out till April 7th to see if I get an answer, if I dont have one by then I'll make another call and make sure to speak to a higher level officer.

Technically your 6 months don't fall March 20, I would add two weeks to that still because of holidays and weekends. From experience that is, I called in March 4th because that was when my sixth months was and they told me that I still had to wait a week or two.

Don't. There are a lot of applicants who's cases are going into the sixth month, in some cases people are receiving letters stating that their cases need further investigation and could take another sixth months to process. Hope that's not the case with yours. But keep hope alive. It'll happen as long as you meet the requirements and don't get into trouble. Smile

I'm almost at my six months.. I'm scared I'll get one of those letters that I've heard people are getting that my application may need further investigation and it can take up to another 6 months.
