    Good attitude!
  2. Did My Biometric Today

    Welcome to the club! Try and not to yank your hair out during the waiting party lol. It could be stressful but well worth it.
  3. What's Everyones Status From Southern California?

    Hey Erika! Cheer up! It's only a matter of time. As long as you meet the criteria and haven't committed any past crimes I don't see any reason why you would be denied. Stay positive! I know it's easier said than done but you have to keep hope alive!
  4. Hello Everyone!

    I completely agree. But we're not in this alone, wish you the best of luck as well and hopefully soon you'll have your answer. The day just started so let's cross out fingers!
  5. What's Everyones Status From Southern California?

    No way?! Damn I'll get to it as soon as I get off work. Thank you!!!
  6. What's Everyones Status From Southern California?

    I haven't called yet, I want to wait till it's 6 months since my application was received. Any of you call yet? Thank you for the responses!
  7. Question, My Fellow Peeps!

    Here's the link to the social security application: http://www.ssa.gov/online/ss-5.pdf As of the State ID, it all varies on where you live. Your location states Texas soooo... hopefully these help: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/applyforID.htm http://www.dmv.org/tx-texas/id-cards.php#Getting-an-ID-Card Remembert to read everything word for word and make phone calls to prevent any problems or answer any questions you might have.
  8. Never Had A Job Before

    I wouldn't personally leave it blank, I worked with a few high school students before and we told them to write "N/A" meaning Not Applicable. Last thing you want to do is leave something empty. As far as references I would use a family friend who may have a good title that would vouche for you. You always want to use professional references if you have them available. If you don't have any, then use family. Make sure to provide as many references that they ask for.
  9. Remember that we went through a lot of holidays from November till about January. They could've easily slowed down the process. I'll technically be at 6 months on March 4. But I wouldn't really worry about it until a week or two after.
  10. Penalty...

    I believe something like this isn't something to take lightly. Through the hard work and devotion of many we've been granted this opportunity. In all honesty, there are some circumstances in which I believe that one should be eligible. Take your example, someone who made a mistake and got a DUI when he or she was 18 and is now 27 and is applying for the DACA. I believe that if in that time spand the person has matured and has shown to become a productive member of the community then I believe they should be granted the DACA. Obviously if they continue on a bad path they should be denied. Now, in approving those with a past history I believe that there should be a zero tolerance rule that would revoke your DACA if you commit any crime. Thus preventing people from taking advantage of this great opportunity that has finally been available to those of us who want to make the most of it. Again, just my two cents.
  11. Nothing today. Anyone have any luck?

  14. Help Please

    You should have two numbers, one for the I821D and another for the I765. When you received you're receipt you got two letters. They look the same but if you look closely the numbers are different. Usually it's just the last number. Check and let me know.
  15. Penalty...

    I agree with msminci. Although we all share some similaraties every case is still different and should be review in it's own special way. No matter what, technically we've all broken the law one way or another. Using false documentation or illegally being in the state. But one thing I do believe is that if we're early childhood arrivals and you've been in this country and have been productive, an asset to this country, followed the laws as any citizen or resident does and have faught to get an education and achieve your American Dream then you shouldn't be punished. We had no say in being brought into the country, the struggles we've had to endure to reach where we're at today are/were tough. So there's no reason why I believe we should get a penalty or be punished. Now, of course there's situations in where some around us have commited crimes, gotten DUI's, ect. I do believe some of these cases should be looked at a bit more rigurous. Remember, it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. The last thing we want is the finger pointed at us for others actions. I think I write a lot lol, I apologize. Just my two cents.
  16. Hello Everyone!

    Hello Laste31! Thank you for the warm welcome, how are you!? Looks like you've been waiting for an approval for a while too.
  17. Hello Everyone!

    Hey Luna! Thank you, I'm glad to be apart of ths forum. Looks like we've been waiting the same amount of time! We're not in this alone lol. Very nice to meet you! Keep in touch.
  18. What a great forum. My first day & I'm hooked!

  19. Keep Waiting And Waiting );

    Great idea kayej87! See, there's always options out there to better improve your skills. Skills that you can bring into another work force and make you stand out.
  20. Keep Waiting And Waiting );

    Wow! I'm in need of a job as well, I use to be a bartender too and unfortunate the same thing happened to me. My favorite job thus far though. I have two siblings for whom I'm responsible for, I'm fortunate enough to have some income but a steady job would sure help me provide more for my siblings. Trust me I understand how frustrating it is to sit and wait but it has to be done. Keep hope alive man, till then keep yourself busy by doing something productive. Have your resume ready for when you head back out on the field! Best of luck!
  21. You should have nothing to worry about. Did you happen to submit copies of your income tax? If so, chances are they'll link the number you provided to that and it'll just work out in your benifit as another piece of evidence. & if you're that worried about it, find out what center has your application and try to obtain a number you can call and speak to an agent and simply explain the situation. I believe I read somewhere that JoseG was able to contact someone through email or something like that. You might want to try asking him. I'll keep an eye out for any information I find on this. I'm kind of curious now, I'll let you know of any of my findings.
  22. Keep Waiting And Waiting );

    Take it easy man. I'm at 5 months after biometrics and almost 6 months since they received my application. Let it take it's time and before you know it they documents will be in your hands. I've been telling everyone to start planning their every move after they receive their documentation so they don't waste any time. You should do the same. Stay positive.
  23. I got the "Oops... Something went wrong" screen & it stated that I didn't have that permission to change my display name.
