Is It True That You Can Get Permanent Residency Faster If You Have A...???
Theresa replied to iamMari2013's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Not at the moment. Your husband is right. but he can still petition I-130 for you first in the mean time, and after I-130 is approved, you can either prove hardship or see if the immigration reform makes it easier to change status (I-485) and gives priority on petitions already summited. Did you come in with visa? That would make easier :/ -
Remember to stablish continuous presence in chronological order; 2 passport photos and money order of $465 made out to U.S DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY paper clipped to the cover letter 1. Forms G-1145, I-765 worksheet, I-765 application, I-821 2. Passport or matricula 3. Birth certificate with notarized translation 4. High School Diploma, GED or proof of attending school towards high school diploma 5. Proof of presence in the USA on June 15,2012 6. Proof of presence in the USA on June 15, 2007 7. One document per trimester from July 2007 up to the time you send the application 8. Proof that you were in the USA before your 16th Birthday 9. One document every year from the time you came to the USA to 2006 And don't write any fake social security numbers where it's asking for any used. They are asking for any ssn given by the social security administration only. Try to google a DACA cover letter to customize for you and put it on the front of all pages. Make copy of all docs/evidence you will send for your records. Also if you are just sending it in now, send something every trimester up until the time you send your packet

This article talks about it... Also, some colleges may offer institution-specific scholarships for which DACA recipients may qualify. Colleges may require students to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) solely for the purpose of determining private aid eligibility. The student must have a Social Security number to complete the FAFSA online. The FAFSA will result in a Student Aid Report bearing the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that the school needs to determine financial need. However, the DACA recipient will not be eligible for federal student aid and will receive a āCā code on the Student Aid Report requesting documentation of citizenship. Students who do not have Social Security numbers may be asked to submit the paper FAFSA to the financial aid office for a manual calculation of the EFC. All information submitted on the FAFSA, whether online or on paper, must be completely accurate. To make college costs more affordable, DACA students should also consider alternatives to the traditional four-year, full-time enrollment. In states where they qualify for in-state tuition, DACA students may want to begin their postsecondary education at community colleges, where in-state tuition may be a fraction of the cost of other institutions. After completing transferable coursework at the community college level, they may look to transfer to a four-year college to finish their degree. Likewise, students should also explore the option of part-time enrollment, which would allow them to work to help finance their educational costs.

Husbands Card Already Arrived. Whats The Next Step? Help!!
Theresa replied to HisWife's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
You will receive an approval letter for defferred action separate from the card. Take that letter and the card and passport to get a social security number. Then when you get the ss card in the mail, you go to the dmv to get the drivers license. Take all of the mentioned above. Renewal for defferred action and work authorization will be every two years but the drivers license is for more years. -
You should be fine if you cover one document per trimester
-
I am sooo happy for you!!! That is an official approval! It's all because you never gave up God is great
-
You will need to show that you were here before your 16th birthday for sure. We are all on the same boat so we are not here to judge. Welcome to the forum

Did he come here with a visa? Otherwise you will need a lawyer to help you with 601A

I-765 Worksheet -- Establishing Need For Employment
Theresa replied to Manny's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Form I-765 worksheet Part 3. I am currently working fulltime to pay for my living expenses. I provide entirely for myself: rent, transpirtation, food, and bills, etc. However, I am at high risk of losing my job because I don't have work authorization. I applying for a work permit under Deffered Action to be able to keep my job and hopefully obtain a degree in the near future. I really hope to be considered to be able to make a better future for myself and advance professionally.
