A Few Questions Regarding My Deferred Action
Theresa replied to gsanchez's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
You'll be fine I have heard this one over and over and they have come through. Make sure that you write NONE on the application where it asks "any social security numbers used" ( they are asking for social security numbers given to you by the social security administration only) not fake ones -
Transferring The Credit History To My New Ssn
Theresa replied to dreamer1991's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I'm sure it could be possible by changing from the fake one to the new one if you actually let each company know that you have a "new number" and that way it could be part of those accounts -

Social Security Number Ever Used?
Theresa replied to ileana983's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
None will be the correct answer if you have a fake number that way they would be looking for your name, date and address on the background check. You don't want the background check to take even longer trying to get something on a number that doesn't exist. -

For every year show a statement every three months from June 15, 2012 to the time you sent your packet. Also make sure you show statements on or closest to the dates of June 15, 2012 and for June 15, 2013. Good luck!

Applying For Housing Or An Apartment.
Theresa replied to Wisedevil22's topic in Life After Deferred Action
The wait for housing takes from 4-8 years in some areas. The initial application for the waiting list only asks or a few things and a social security number to be written down. Hopefully by then, they accept what ever status you would be in... And as for renting an apartment, it will depend on the landlord company. You'll never know till ou try it out. -

Registering with the United States Selective Service1 Q: What is the Selective Service Registration? A: Registration is the process in which an individual provides the Selective Service System with personal information, such as name, address, date of birth, and other related information. The Selective Service registers almost all young men between 18 and 26 and the government keeps this list of names in case there is a national emergency requiring rapid expansion of the Armed Forces. Registering with the Selective Service does NOT mean you are joining or enlisting in the military. Q: Who must register with the Selective Service? A: Generally, almost all males2 (citizens and non-citizens) living in the United States who are between the ages of 18 and 26 are required to register with the Selective Service. Undocumented immigrants are included on the list of those who must register with the Selective Service. Registering with the Selective Service does not mean the male will be automatically inducted or enlisted into the military. The eligibility requirements for registering are separate from the actual ability to enlist in the military. Q: When must a male register? A: Men living in the United States are required to register at age 18. Men who enter the United States as immigrants are also required to register if they are between the age of 18 and 26. Q: Are non-U.S. citizen males required to register? A: Yes, some are. The general rule is that if a male noncitizen lives in the United States before his 26th birthday, he must register with the Selective Service. Q: Specifically which non-U.S. citizen males are required to register? A: Non-U.S. citizens, such as undocumented individuals, legal permanent residents (LPRs), asylum applicants, refugees, and DACA recipients are all required to register with the Selective Service.

The reason you need to have been signed up for Selective Service if you want to apply for Citizenship is because you need to show 5 years of good moral character before being eligible for U.S. Citizenship. That's why USCIS registers you to the Selective Service when you get a green card, after 5 years when you can apply for Citizenship, your 5 years of good moral character will be over. If you are over the age of 26 and didn't sign up for Selective Service, you won't be able to apply for U.S. Citizenship until the age of 31, 5 years later, which doesn't matter because you would still have to wait for 5 years anyways in order to apply for U.S. Citizenship through Naturalization from a green card, unless you are applying through a U.S. Citizen spouse in which you would be eligible at the age of 29.

Did you rescind your ITIN number? Some of these background checks include education level completed, IRS, past jobs, last pay, credit, bank accounts, rental leases, etc.

It's not a good idea and they won't give you them without green card or citizenship. Your citizen children can apply though.
