  1. Figured I'd Introduce Myself.

Welcome Santiago! We are all here to support each other in this forum where we can all feel safe to talk about our stories. I'm so glad you found us. I hope that your state will come to its senses about the necessary programs on education dreams for many on DACA. Don't stop dreaming http://floridaimmigrant.org/our-work/education-immigrant-youth/access-to-college/
  2. Update!

    I'm glad for you
  3. Daca Renewal

It seem like it has been taken up to 120 days from start to finish.. Mine took 86 days after biometrics
  4. Maybe the system is stuck on your receipt number and they are just busy? I would call them in case you missed a letter or if you need to make an inquiry request. Some people get lucky to get it sooner and no one knows why but for citizenship its taking around 6 months or more from start to finish. Good luck and congratulations on making the decision to be one more citizen that will have a very valuable vote to give others a voice To submit an inquiry, please visit egov.uscis.gov/e-request or call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283
  5. For transferring you simply need to rescind your ITIN only. There is nothing to worry about. Follow instructions on this link http://www.lclaa.org/lclaa-blog/entry/post-daca
  6. Traveled

    That is so cool!
  7. Don't worry about the "working with a fake ssn" thing. Everyone did before DACA. Just answer no on the question about that is asking if you have been given one and don't put in any fake number. As for the I765ws put down your annual gross, assets and expenses. It doesn't matter if you make 35k or 100k. Explain how you need DACA to be able to keep your job and that without EAD you are at high risk to loose your job. Also explain that you are responsible for your own expenses and support and/or that your family relies on your financial support etc. it's really ok to tell the TRUTH. Experts do recommend that you don't send any documents that have the ssn but check stubs and other stuff only have the last four digits. You could always x them out or blur
  8. Initial! What Do I Do??

I assume you sent your packet. Did you get the biometrics appointment letter? Did you do your biometrics already?
  9. You need your EAD card. maybe by now your status on line might show the tracking number for the card. Good luck
  10. Walk In For Biometrics?

You should call their national custome service 1-800-375-5283 (ASAP). You never know if your letter got lost in the mail or something
  11. Walk In For Biometrics?

Yes, a lot of us have done a walk in and have succeeded. If they are instructing you to go, then go. Take the letter with you and your passport. If you needed an appointment letter, they would of sent you one or the letter requiring more evidence would of instructed that there is a biometrics appointment letter on the way.
  12. How Long Is The Wait For The Renewal?

I have noticed that it's been taking around 4 months this year.
  13. Here are three different ways 245-I Has anyone petitioned for any of your parents and was the petition approved before April, 2001? Or 245-I Has anyone petitioned for you and was the petition approved before April, 2001? Or Some people have been able to travel with DACA through advance parole for humanitarian reasons and if they enter through inspection, it means that the last time they entered is "with inspection" and if "the last entry was with inspection" will fill the requirement to adjust status.
  14. Biometrics Appointment>?

I would just go as soon as now and Bring that paper with you
  15. Should I Apply? Please Read My Case

was your visa expired on June 15,2015 and are able to prove continuous presence every 3 months from June 15, 2015 till the day you summit your application? Then I would give it a shot based on avvo lawyer's opinion. Other wise you will never know till you try, right?
  16. Biometrics Appointment>?

If you have already done finger prints before and now they want you to redo them: some people redo them due to computer glitch at the time of fingerprinting and such. Not uncommon...
  17. Have Not Received Ead

    Yeeeeees! Congratulations
  18. As for proof that you were here, school transcripts would show a lot as well visits to the dentist and doctor, camps, any kind of school records, etc
  19. Black and white is good but I would send photo copies of passports, ID's, birth certificates and diplomas
  20. You only send copies. You keep original documents. Any document that states your NAME, PLACE, DATE Marriage certificate(s) if married in the US; Divorce decree(s) if divorced in the US; Religious records such as baptism, confirmation, and registration certificates; Lease/Rental agreements; Census records; Proof of ownership of real estate (e.g. deed to a home); Proof of security deposit payment; Dental, hospital, medical vaccination records and bills, and proof of payment; INS/DHS Form I-94 arrival/departure record identifying you and your date of admission; Other correspondence/notices from INS/DHS identifying and addressed to you; Birth certificates of children born in the United States; School records, awards, certifications, diplomas, pictures, report cards, yearbooks, etc. Valid (expired or un-expired) passport with tamped dates of admission into the US; Proof of application for home loan and proof of paying off home loan; Proof of purchase of an automobile and payments for automobile and car insurance; Automobile and registration, car title, license receipt and Department of Motor Vehicle records; Credit card history in the United States (e.g. Visa car, etc.); Department of Public Safety records; Insurance invoices, claims, policies, and payment of insurance; Utility bills such as electricity, gas, heat, sewer, water, etc. and telephone bills; Bank records such as bankbooks, statements, canceled checks, and money order receipts; Other dated receipts; US Selective Service registration card; Postmarked envelopes addressed to you here in the US; Photographs of celebrations in the US, preferably with dates marked on them; Proof of remittances of money from you here in the US to your family in your home country; Paycheck stubs and payroll records; Licenses/permits; Union records; Record of payment of federal, state, and/or local taxes with W-2 forms; Social security records; Worker
  21. You send the $465 with your packet... Example of a DACA packet, Remember to stablish continuous presence in chronological order; 2 passport photos and money order of $465 made out to U.S DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY paper clipped to the cover letter 1. Forms G-1145, I-765 worksheet, I-765 application, I-821 2. Passport or matricula 3. Birth certificate with notarized translation 4. High School Diploma, GED or proof of attending school towards high school diploma 5. Proof of presence in the USA on June 15,2012 6. Proof of presence in the USA on June 15, 2007 7. One document per trimester from July 2007 up to the time you send the application 8. Proof that you were in the USA before your 16th Birthday 9. One document every year from the time you came to the USA to 2006 And don't write any fake social security numbers where it's asking for any used. They are asking for any ssn given by the social security administration only. Try to google a DACA cover letter to customize for you and put it on the front of all pages. Make copy of all docs/evidence and send only copies. It's recommended to also make copies of the packet for your records, that way you will always know what you've sent. Also if you are just sending it in now, send something every trimester (every 3 months) up until the time you send your packet
  22. Is it you first time? Or renewal?
