I personally, did it different. I also have 2 last names on my birth certificate. But since Ive been here in the U.S. Ive only used one. All my paperwork, school records, medical records, school ids, even SS card only have 1 last name. I already got approved and I received no notice of there being a problem. I really think its up to you and how much paperwork you have showing your name with only 1 last name.

Regarding your signature, you have the Date of EAD received is October 1st 2012, so below that on Work authorization Card received, which is the same thing, shouldnt you update it to the date you received it? -

Im assuming dap is dream act info forum. And yes, I go to that other forum to get tips on people who already received their EAD and see how long the process of getting a SS card is...

I got the text that I was DACA approved and that my EAD was in production on the 9th. Yesterday the 10th. I got the text that it had been picked up by USPS and that I should receive it within 7 days. You should be receiving text updating your status today informing you that your card is in the mail on its way.

I never received a text for my bio, I found out about my bio by calling USCIS and did it the same day since it was scheduled. Up to where I know, when you sign up for updates with the USCIS website, they'll send you emails, texts or both. You pick. But I signed up for both and only got multiple texts of DACA being approved and EAD on its way and so forth...

Did you have any problems applying for the SS card after waiting 5 days, after you received your EAD jcr?

Congrats...you should put a timeline so we can know the average wait time and the service center where your applications were sent.

It surprises me how ignorant people can be calling DACA an amnesty program. In my opinion since we gain no type of status, neither citizenship, temporary/permanet residency, how is that amnesty. I see DACA as making us legally "illegal"...- 1 reply

DACA approved today by text messages at 8am and EAD on its way by text at 445am. Now the time has come to harrass my mail carrier...lol

Thanks Jose and do you know if getting the new card with the same number take the same time as someone getting a new SS card that has never had one? Also, Ive been reading on other forums that its recommended to wait 10 days after receiving EAD to apply for SS Card because by then all systems have been updated with new EAD information. Have you heard anything similar?

Maybe someone can enlighten me about this before I actually call SS Office, what if I already have a SS Card, it just says NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT? Im sure that now that Ill be able to work because I have the permit but will I still have the same # or will I be issued a new one??
