the dreamer: theyre approving for september 13-14 bios at the nebraska center and some officers are already starting on the september 17 bios. Unfortunately it depends on your "officer", if theyre efficient and just want to get it over with, they might be approving quickly, some might be more anal and demanding RFE or some might just take longer than others. I wish I was already approved but im keeping my fingers crossed to be approved by next week or the end of october, the latest....

I like the fact that this article stresses that the DREAM Act does have a path towards citizenship while DACA doesnt. Also, if we were going to "steal" jobs from many Americans, maybe its because they arent "qualified" education wise, to do these jobs, so its not stealing, its filling positions that require the "right" person and if we're the right person, well too bad. My personal favorite saying is "You snooze, you lose.."

Yes, this is normal. You filled out 2 applications. One is the I821d and the other is I765, therefore, 2 receipt numbers.

I think they were referring specifically to highlighting the forms/applications. This is because sometimes they are entered electronically, and some machines have difficulty processing highlighted areas. I dont see why highlighting your evidence should be a problem. You should be fine, but this is just my personal opinion, so dont quote me on that. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Ive also noticed it depends a lot on what service center you were sent to...it seems more people are being approved faster at the California Service Center...Im at the Nebraska Center and I havent seen too many approvals from there.....darn Nebraska, it seems all theyre doing is sticking corn husks up their ***.... just relax and be patient...I'd start worrying if it was 2 months AFTER my bio appt...

My ASC notice has only I821D under the application notice and I was confused/concerned about this. I called USCIS and inquired about this, I was told by the representative that my notice was for I765 even though it says I821D, I asked her to explain this, which she explained as being that I765 is the application that requires background checks, not the I821D, that did confuse me and I guess I annoyed her with my "ignorance" because she began to sound annoyed... Oh, well. My applications were sent to Nebraska and like Jose pointed out earlier, some service centers work differently. My ASC notice only had 1 application but if others have the same "situation" or concern about their notices, its nothing to worry about...

Rawf is right, what once can do is start to prepare a resume.. Its very simple, just buy what you can pay, pay your montly dues on time, if youre late, thats points away from you and if buy a big expense, try and put down as much money as possible and hurry up and pay it...

I applied for in state tuition because TX is one the states that allows this with the Noriega BIll. Also, TX offers TASFA, which is similar to FAFSA but for people who are enrolling with aid of the Noriega Bill... Thank God Im getting help from an aunt who will be paying my tuition and all I have to do is get good grades and take care of my books. Ill be working while going to school and hope to finish as quick as possible depending on my schedule and so forth... Also there are websites with scholarships for persons in our "status" Ive been on cappex.com, scholarshippoints.com, fastweb.com, collegeprowler.com, and moolahspot.com You join these websites, create a profile with your info, majors even the status we have and theyll find the ones you qualify for.. Some of these scholarships only require an entry and some require essays or transcripts if ones already enrolled..

DreamingStyle: What do you mean youre suspicious if your stamp is fiilled out? You should be able to tell because they should have given you back your biometrics notice and on it they write the date you went in and the id number of the agent that took your firngerprints. I got mine back that way..
