Cool post. Thanks, regarding the foreign birth certificate, do they mean the original birth certificate or the translated certified copy we have? Ill be bringing both in just in case and as soon as I get my work permit Ill be applying for a TX ID, just to make any type of paperwork go by easier...

We were concerned about this because I live in El Paso, TX and we have one of the most important military bases in the US here, Fort Bliss, we were afraid they'd start attacking the bases in order to crumble our defenses..

Sounds good, but Im with Aled on this one..this is a bad example, but this is how I see it, its like getting chemotherapy before being diagnosed with cancer. I think its better to just follow USCIS instructions, I wouldnt want to do that so that I wouldnt seem overeager. I believe these type of processes require following the instructions exactly as they are, not improvising. Thats just me, but I respect if others do it differently, to each their own.

Not only the elections but I think the fear of being denied and then being deported is also a big reason for not applying. Also many who have used fake SS#s and dont know how to go about this..

I havent told everyone about my "situation" unless Im asked straight out and then I explain the circumstances, if I feel like it. I and all of us DREAMERS did nothing wrong nor have nothing to hide. Ive always been pretty upfront about it. If I'm considered a "sinner or evil" because of my legal status then who are they to throw the first stone? yeah, but the 90 day period for adjudicating I765, filed together with I821d, doesnt begin until DHS has decided to defer action in our cases I found this on the instructions for the I765, page 5.

I'll be taking my matricula consular and like Aled, I'll be taking a binder with extra documents in case Im asked for further proof. I prefer to be over prepared than under prepared. Regarding clothing, I'll be doing classy... Stilletos, pencil skirt, business button up shirt, the whole works..lmao

Hi Rickyerique I live in El Paso, TX. I sent in my application on August 15th and received a confirmation text from USCIS notifying me they'd received my applications and where sending them to Nebraska to be processed on August 22nd. I also received in the mail an I 797C, notifying me to wait for approval of my applications and eventually a biometrics appointment.

Well, you cant have everything, I'll have to start looking around at private insurances, although I already have a membership at a clinic in my city where It helps people with low income/ low earnings..

I havent noticed anyone getting their biometrics appointment, but if so, good for them...I hope we all receive ours soon. I'll be using my "matricula consular"..
