What Im afraid of is that since Arizona and Nebraska decided to take this stupid stand, other states may follow suit and do the same thing. They might follow suit just so we cant get a DL to get to work, etc... Hope it doesnt get tougher in other states...

Im glad some firms are offering that service Sinae, many are charging the full price of 1500 or up just to sit with you and repeat to you what the USCIS website says. Good luck. Hope you see this firm soon and can mail your applications in. Also, some of the questions you may ask this firm, we might have them as topics..you might want to look at them and then maybe youd be able to save yourself 200

jdreamer823: I dont know what state youre in, but here in TX, our transcripts on the back have the final grades for each year. Everybody is providing only what they have. Dont stress out too much, if they feel they need more, theyll let you know.

I included my immunization card as proof. I dont think its absolutely necessary for you to have all your report cards. As long as you have the final one for each year you should be good

dinorah94: There isnt a specific order to mail your documents. I called USCIS last week, a few minutes before I mailed my application to inquire about the same thing and they said theres no specific order. However, remember that if you filled out the G-1145, that will be the first page. G-1145 is to inform you via text and email when they RECEIVED your applications, not if they ACCEPTED them. This is the order that I sent my things in: Photos Money Order G1145 I821D I765 I765WS Copy of translated Birth Certificate Notarized letter for birth certificate copy of original birth certificate copy of school ids, consular id, ss Card( this is if you have it) copy of hs diploma copy of unofficial school transcript copy of recommendation letters from counselors, principals, teachers (optional) I sent this in to show my type of character copy of volunteer certificates copy of bills showing Ive been in the country the past five years copy of bill showing I was present in the country june 15 2012 On Part 3 of the I765WS, that space is available for you to put whatever you feel would help your case or would explain better why you need a job. I think that you putting you need a job to save money for college, should be acceptable. Hope this helps.

I filled out form G-1145. I received a text that they RECEIVED my applications and my applications are en route to Nebraska. In a few days I should receive the official letter saying they received the applications. I havent received a letter yet that my applications have been approved, neither have I received a letter giving me an appointment for my biometrics.

Bonel895: The DACA act, its not the DREAM Act, doesnt have an expiration date. I reread the guidelines released by USCIS and as long as you can prove that youre taking GED classes, you CAN APPLY for DACA.

I would follow that attorneys advice if you're hiring their services.

I sent mine in just in case.

How much should I pay a lawyer to help me?
itzel replied to Rickyerique's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
If I had hired an attorney, I wouldnt have paid him more than $200 and thats not including the application fee or passport photo fee or price for making all the copies... -
Bonel895: I made a mistake, one of the USCIS guidelines does allow you to apply. This is what the guideline about GED says: Who is considered to be “currently in school” under the guidelines? To be considered “currently in school” under the guidelines, you must be enrolled in: a public or private elementary school, junior high or middle school, high school, or secondary school; an education, literacy, or career training program (including vocational training) that is designed to lead to placement in postsecondary education, job training, or employment and where you are working toward such placement; or an education program assisting students either in obtaining a regular high school diploma or its recognized equivalent under state law (including a certificate of completion, certificate of attendance, or alternate award), or in passing a General Educational Development (GED) exam or other equivalent state-authorized exam. Such education, literacy, or career training programs include, but are not limited to, programs funded, in whole or in part, by federal or state grants. Programs funded by other sources may qualify if they are administered by providers of demonstrated effectiveness, such as institutions of higher education, including community colleges, and certain community-based organizations. In assessing whether such an education, literacy or career training program not funded in whole or in part by federal or state grants is of demonstrated effectiveness, USCIS will consider the duration of the program’s existence; the program’s track record in assisting students in obtaining a regular high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, in passing a GED or other state-authorized exam, or in placing students in postsecondary education, job training, or employment; and other indicators of the program’s overall quality. For individuals seeking to demonstrate that they are “currently in school” through enrollment in such a program, the burden is on the requestor to show the program’s demonstrated effectiveness. Mary: I'm confused by your answers. What links did you read that say you can apply without a GED/HS diploma?

A wake up call. Face what the deferred action really is.
itzel replied to Sinae's topic in Dream Lounge
You have the right to express your opinion whether one agrees or not. I suggested that if the new laws/policies Brewer was suggesting were difficult to handle, one should leave the state. I know I would, finally an opportunity to work and reside somewhere else. Yes, it may be difficult to start else where and leave family, but being able to accomplish ones goals isn't going to be easy. There will be sacrifice and either you can keep on moving or wait on the side of the road for someone to pick u up.... -
Yes Eric, that's how I got started

Need help filling out the application :O
itzel replied to ツ alejandriiukz ㋡'s topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
What do you mean 2 checks? I called USCIS, it's 1 check of $465 payable to the Department of Homeland Security. -
I seem to be confused about your previous text. Why do you need to send in your criminal record? I didn't not only because I don't have one but because one of the guidelines in the USCIS site is that they'll conduct the back ground checks. I haven't read anywhere neither did I see on the application, that one was required to send a copy of their criminal record.
