  1. Non-fiction or Fiction Books?

I enjoy fiction more than non fiction, but read both. I especially enjoy autobiographies and biographies. Fiction to me is to relax and Non fiction is when I want to build my brain up on a certain subject.
  2. I agree, its tattoos that are gang related or that the department of homeland security could see as a threat...
  3. I did HS no College.

Hi Juliana: Its ok if you havent done college. You still apply for the Deferred Act as long as you can prove it. Look at this link its SUPER helpful.... http://forum.adreamact.com/topic/55-deferred-action-eligibility-flow-chart/
  4. Senator Durbin on the Senate Floor

Maybe those are his long term plans, you never know, but if he did run for president and I could vote, I'd vote for him..
  5. Travel ??

That sounds nice Dream, if you dont mind me asking, where are you hoping to travel?
  6. Ignorance is bliss??

I understand your point of view Aled and I respect it. But, like you said you keep logging on to both this forum and adreamact.com. Most of the basics of the Deferred Act are outlined in the artlicles/posts changed daily. Also, not only me but even this forums administrator keeps trying to coax people to come to this forum to get their questions answered. When they keep going back over and over again it gets frustrating. I understand they're teenagers but how many times do you have to be told to log onto the forum to get better answers? Im dont think Im being mean, I think Im being direct and honest. The thing that irritates me the most is that its been MORE than 1 month since this news came out and some still say, "Do I qualify for the Dream Act?" When you tell them "No, its the Deferred Act", some get mad or some get butt hurt. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome, when obviously its not going to change. If you cant find answers there, why dont they follow the members of this forum's advice and come to this forum to chat and get clear answers?
  7. Travel ??

That info hasnt been released yet, were not even sure if we'll be able to travel in the country. A lot of us are hopeful about this but the details will be released August 1st if not by August 15
  8. Total cost!?

Like I said before, I read this information on a topic that Dream posted. Im not saying its 100% true but it seems pretty logical to me. We knew this wasnt going to be cheap or free. It has to cost something so the Republicans and hard a** men dont start complaining about something else. Heres the link where I got this info: http://forum.adreamact.com/topic/40-ap-exclusive-internal-documents-shows-obama-deportation-proposal-could-cost-more-than-585m/
  9. Muse: Take a Bow Best band EVER!!!!!!
  10. Ignorance is bliss??

(Guest158 (guest): they call cancelled their lying right?) This statement is what prompted me to rant.. How can someone be soo insensitive to all of us hopeful dreamers, waiting for the big day and say that they canceled their lying? In other words, that this whole event is a charade...its not and honestly if it was a lie, why are you logging on to the website to follow the updates guest 158, youre obviously in the same boat, but if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all....
  11. Total cost!?

Dream posted a topic starting: Ap Exclusive...... In that topic is where the 465 is discussed..that where the numbers are coming out of... 380 work permit 465 deferred act 85 fingerprinting grand total 930.. sucks to not have a concrete number so one can be prepared...starting ot get seriously annoyed
  12. I got a question...

  13. http://content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/USDHSCIS-4b5a85 This is the link to the official memo cancelling it...
  14. Senator Durbin on the Senate Floor

This was a great video. It gave me chills to listen to all the different stories. Durbin for President!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
  15. What would you opt for?

Ive always wanted to go back to school and it'd prefer enrolling in a four year college and part time work than the military. I understand the military does have many benefits but is also has several cons and Id prefer to stay close to my loved ones.
  16. Deferred Action FAQ

Thanks Dream, the link I found most helpful was the non profit organizations that will help me fill and file my applications when the time comes..
  17. Can I get a Credit Card W/ITIN?

I dont see why we wouldnt be able to apply. After we get the permit to work, I think we'll need somewhere to keep the money, (bank) not under the mattress and most banks provide credit/debit cards....
  18. Hello my name is Nicole!!!

Hi Nicole: Due to the information you have provided, I am not an attorney, it seems to me you wouldnt qualify for the Deferred Act. {Who is eligible to receive deferred action under the Department’s new directive? Pursuant to the Secretary’s June 15, 2012 memorandum, in order to be eligible for deferred action, individuals must: Have come to the United States under the age of sixteen; Have continuously resided in the United States for at least five years preceding June 15, 2012 and are present in the United States on June 15, 2012; Currently be in school, have graduated from high school, have obtained a general education development certificate, or are honorably discharged veterans of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; Have not been convicted of a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor offense, multiple misdemeanor offenses, or otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety; Not be above the age of thirty.} This is where I found this info: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD However, I think an immigration lawyer would be able to help you better. There are several pro bono organizations in most states to help and Ive learned that it usually depends how you entered the country, either illegaly, with a passport or student visa...hope this helps and good luck.
  19. Deferred Action FAQ
