  1. I think the app asks for valid social security number. If you're is fake or it's someone else's that fraud and it could be a problem.
  2. I Got Approved

Tell your lawyer, nicely, that you will sue her for malpractice if she doesn't get this sorted out. It was her duty to notify USCIS and if she did not and you have to wait even longer to recoup the employment authorization card when you could instead be working or getting around you're really losing out. So you can tell your attorney she needs to prioritize getting this sorted out or you will file a complaint with the bar.
  3. This may be a long shot, but try contacting your local congressman/woman. On their websites, there's a form you can fill out authorizing him/her (or their agents) to look into your case. I did this last week after 5 months of waiting, and my case was just approved on Friday. There's no guarantees, but they can inquire into your case and possibly nudge them to move the process along. In my request form, I explained my situation and gave them my case number. A lot of people don't know but this is one of the functions of a congressman/woman. They are authorized to look into any government agency's processes, especially if a constituent (you and I) ask for their help. Hope this helps!
  4. Finally!!!

    Congratulations! God Is Good!
  5. Just curious, but how many of you who have had a delay of over 4 months included in your deferred action application a social security number previously issued by USCIS? I ask because I did as I had previously applied for residency and was actually issued a valid s.s. number only to have it revoked after I was disqualified for residency because I aged out of the system (mom was able to get her residency though). Anyway, as I said, I had a history with my social security number, and I also had a special number issued when I first arrived to the U.S. on my tourist visa. I included all this, and now I am thinking that there may be a delay or there taking longer on applications that included such numbers. My app was received Oct. 1st, I had biometrics done Nov. 5. and I am still currently waiting. A lot of people I know who turned in their applications at the same time as I, or later have already heard a response and they had never previously applied for residency. I might be crazy but I think there is a link between people who were already in the system because of a previous residency application and delays in hearing a response about deferred application approvals. What do you guys think?
