Uscis had received my application on sept 20,2013 biometrics on Oct 24,2013 and since then I waited. I would call to try to get some type of answer and I would never get one, all they would say is wait and sometimes be rude. I've read some cases here were people talk about making themselves sick with depression and anxiety attacks, and yes i had those too. You can't help but to think your application is getting denied because its been sooo long, well at least I did. What I finally decided to do was to contact my local congressman which in my case was Raul Ruiz. Congressman can get into any Federal files with your concent of course. So I filled out the form and explained my situation, printed it out, signed it and faxed it. All that happened on a Monday April 8,2013 and by Friday the 12th I was already approved. Id like to think he helped me. After all you got nothing to lose, give it a try. Hope this helped.

I actually came across with the "new" advance parole form, and I say "new" because it still doesn't change anything! Yes DACA can ask for AP but it still not a guarantee you'll come back since most of us DACA have been here all our life's and accrued unlawful presence. It says DHS can revoke your AP if they want to which is totally frustrating! Why give us advance parole if its not a guarantee you'll get back with out a problem ? Although the guidelines are still being finalized for DACA travel document, but so far all I just see is change of words, And no guarantee DACA can get back hassle free. I hope they partner up with DHS and allow re-entry for all DACA. DHS should be the ones granting AP, after all they're the ones who make the decision in the end, it'll avoid all this frustration...

It Can Take Up To A Year. Service Request Denied
Veevee20 posted a topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I reached my 6 months today since I applied. Sept 20,2012 is when they received my case. I called to ask for a service request and they told me no. The operator was very rude and told me My case could be sitting there for a year. I have no criminal record at all, this is so devastating -
My application was received on Sept 20,2012 and got my biometrics done soon after that but since then I haven't heard anything ..its 6 months this march 20th I'm so worried and stressed out. I have no criminal record at all! What happens after 6 months?

Pick one of them. I basically told them that my case was out of it's normal processing time and uscis didn't want to service request on my case -

If you don't have a social security number put N/A The agency involved would be DACA And the branch would be USCIS The agency case numbers would be your two receipt numbers And then you Explain your situation After that you print it and sign it. I suggest you fax it It's faster I just basically told him I was out of the normal processing time 7 months and uscis didn't want to service request on my case -

No I've never been deported or anything like that. I'll just have to wait and see when the new form comes out. You've made things much clearer thanks

The reason why I've been digging about this is because I have a family member who has breast cancer and I will like to visit here, I just feared not being able to come back. Besides unlawful presence I have no criminal record I'm married to a US citizen and I have a daughter who is a US citizen as well.

If Your Case Is Taking Too Long This Might Help!!

You go here and type in your zip code to find your representative http://www.house.gov/representatives/ Once i found him I went to his page and clicked on Services and then help with a federal agency https://ruiz.house.gov/services/help-with-a-federal-agency Good luck hope it helps -
But then it says this (4) Issuance of an Advance Parole Document does not guarantee that DHS will parole you into the United States upon your return.

I really hope so, I've been here since I was three.

I do a service request on my 6 month?
-
Hmm.. When I first called about my birthday being wrong in one of the applications I also asked what was the time frame and back then in October they had told me 3-4 months. I'm guessing the wait changed to 5-6 months because of the holidays. I don't think that's it . Idk
