  1. Aprroved

Delivery times vary drastically from person to person and some don't receive a tracking number. My EAD came 5 days after approval. This was in April.
  2. Did I Get Approved?

When I got approved I got a tracking number from the carrier (ups, usps, etc). I found this info on the USCIS case status page after inputting my 765 app case number.
  3. Did I Get Approved?

All you have to wait on is the letter with your EAD and you're ready to head over to the local Social Security office. This is the form you'll need to fill out: http://www.ssa.gov/online/ss-5.pdf. Be sure to read all of it to ensure you bring the correct docs with you to the office. The process is fairly quick. You'll meet briefly with an officer who will review your docs and process your application. I own a web design business and a film/tv lighting design business. My AA degree is in film production.
  4. Did I Get Approved?

I hear ya. I've waiting since 2001 (when I turned 18) for an opportunity like this. I still went to college, got an AA degree, and opened up two businesses during my time w/o a legit SSN. I kept moving forward and finally after years of failed Dream Act progress Obama offered a little gift for everyone. Now my businesses are legit and can expand them! Best of luck in your journey in college and finding a job!
  5. Did I Get Approved?

I wouldn't fret too much now that your card is in production/in the mail. You're approved now. Await the card in the mail, get your SSN and DL/ID, and get your life started!
  6. Did I Get Approved?

LIN#? Each case number is available in the USCIS docs you've been receiving in the mail. You should have two sets of docs, one for your 821d app and one for your 765 app.
  7. After getting approved there's a different type of wait time, but one that is much less nerve wracking than waiting to be approved. There's the wait while applying for your SSN and the wait for the SSN card. Then the wait for applying for a DL/ID, the wait for the drivers test after passing the written, and finally the wait while the DL/ID is mailed. I suggest you set appointments for your SSN app and your DL/ID app. Also apply for an ID so you have a state ID while you're in the process of getting a DL.
  8. Did I Get Approved?

You have two case numbers. One for 821d and one for 765. One case number will display info regarding DACA (821d) approval the other is for work permit approval (765).
  9. DL and ID term length varies from person to person. Some folks' expires in 2 others in 4 or 6 years. It's all how the DMV office processes your info when applying. Congrats on the approval! Be sure to get to the SS office early to apply for your SSN.
  10. Did I Get Approved?

    You're super approved! Congrats!
  11. Approx Daca Timelines?

There is no definite timeline, everyone's will be different. There's been various applicants who applied and were accepted within a weeks, others gave surpassed a years worth of waiting. I applied in Nov 2012 and got accepted in April 2013, it included one RFE.
  12. Job?

Great to hear! Definitely bring your docs then and if hired fill out your forms, and feel super awesome writing in a legit SSN.
  13. Job?

You don't necessarily need the docs for an interview. Of course, if you get hired on the spot and need to fill out your I-9 the docs will be needed. By permit do you mean EAD? Best of luck on your interview? What field of work is it in?
  14. @jane123jl's: Got approved in April! No issue whatsoever. Check out my timeline.
  15. Credit Card

I got a CC from BofA, 12 months at 0% with $1,000 limit. As folks have said use it wisely and be sure you can pay off what you buy. I've been using it to buy parts to build a new workstation PC (which I will write off in taxes). Since it's a low credit line I have to buy the parts in segments, but each time I make sure I have enough money to cover it all. I also set a transfer via my online banking account to send $10 to my CC balance every week. I'll keep this until the 0% interest is over next August. This will ensure money is always flowing to the CC balance.
  16. Getting A Job With Our New Ssn

Awesome! Great to hear. Never give up and keep moving forward.
  17. Deferred Action And Dui

Do consult a lawyer. I'm sure the lawyer will suggest to get the court record to prove what your final charges were and show that a DUI wasn't charged.
  18. Careers After Your Daca.

I studied film in college, AA in film production degree. This year is my 8th year as a professional lighting designer for narrative movies, music videos, commercials, corporate, and still photography. It's the career that I devoted myself. I also have a web design business.
  19. Approved For Credit Card!!

Great to hear! It's always good to check out what your bank has to offer for credit cards. Bank of America hooked me up with their student cc offering with 0% interest for the first year and $1,000 credit line to begin with.
  20. Medicinal Marijuana

I also got my rec for marijuana. Looking forward to the DACA renewal process. I bet it'll be announced early next year since DACA was first passed in June 2012.
  21. Contracts Is It Proof?

Indeed they're good! I sent in a contract between a client and myself to prove I was here on June 15, 2012. The contract was actually signed and dated on that day.
  22. Quick Question

It hasn't been disclosed what the process is, as far as I know.
  23. Dancing

You're meeting the wrong types of men to teach you how to dance, it's obvious their looking for a payoff. Bachata can be an intimate dance, btw. I'd start off with salsa. Gather a group of your friends and find/take a class (at a club or studio). It's super fun!
  24. Medicinal Marijuana Card

Wow, what a crazy roller coaster out in Colorado. In CA you don't necessarily have to carry a pot card, some clubs offer cards for ease of IDing and transactions, and as JoseG mentions all you need is a doc's proof. Pot tax in San Jose is in the 20 - 30% range, but many clubs find ways to lessen the cost and on the receipt it's listed as a "donation."
  25. Medicinal Marijuana Card

It'll definitely come up in the background check. Does anyone on here have a pot card and got approved for DACA?
