Marriage To Usc After Daca Approval
profjouster replied to x_deleted_x's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
so i wouldnt have to leave the country during my application process through a USC? -
congrats!
-
my mom used our lease for like 2 years that had my name on it, and the person who put my application together said its fine. i also sent some docs from another petition i filed with USCIS. I think official forms and documents are the best things you can use. As long as your name is on the lease you should be fine.

Uscis Called Regarding My Case
profjouster replied to tinkerbell1's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Omg that is great. what started out as a confusing situation worked out for the better. What happened? Were they able to fix your fingerprints? Congrats! -
congrats, congrats, congrats! so good to see the VSC transfers getting their approvals. Good luck with your job hunt!

it doesnt restart. the RFE is (in a way) a good sign, it means theyre definitely reviewing your case, like an agent is actually looking over the package you sent.
-
excellent, hopefully nebraska keeps working on those transfer cases as fast as they have been.
-
haha it wouldnt be much of a bet though, im from central FL just like Jeff, so chances are he was at vermont then nebraska just like me. And nebraska really is cranking out those decisions, i hope the other SC's pick up the pace too, really feeling for those who have been waiting 7-8 months.
-
i dont want to trade, im hoping youre right, becuase if it was an NSC transfer then maybe my approval isnt too far behind.
-
congrats! were you at VSC and got transferred to NSC?
-
oh thats perfect, do you have the emails and/or reciepts from the items you bought and sold on ebay? especially the shipping reciepts, you had to be here to ship the items and you had to be here to recieve them, thats perfect proof!
-
well the DACA FAQ says affidavits on their own are not enough to count as evidence. Do your ebay accounts cover any of those years they say are missing? Do you fb updates also include your location? I don't know if you can use emails, but keep looking for any and all online transactions you may have made with your name and the date on them.

Marriage To Usc After Daca Approval
profjouster replied to x_deleted_x's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
im curious about this as well, anyone have any info? -
maybe they only found they need more details regarding the circumstances of your crime. i doubt theyd ask for more evidence if theres no chance of you being approved, its a waste of everones time. good luck, hope it works out for you.

welcome to the forum. its stuff like this that congress needs to see, and realize we're not just numbers or a faceless horde trying to destroy the country. we're just people who want a good life and cant get it in our own countries. best of luck to you getting approved!
-
yeah they should word it better. send more than one thing for each year, but its not a requirement to send every month. one of the best things is some kind of transaction history that covers a bunch of months out of the year, or a bunch of months over the course of a few years. credit card purchases, video game subscriptions, long term bill payments.
-
finally someone in my boat. i just sent as much as i could for each year (def not each month). you got approved so clearly theyre not super picky about month by month. thanks for the help!

deferred action lawyer How much is your lawyer taxing you?
profjouster replied to Admin's topic in Dream Lounge
i got help from Catholic Charities, they have a branch that deals with immigration. The guy helped put everything together, we just had to pay 50-60$ consultation fee, so it was a pretty good deal. He was pretty strict about what we sent out as evidence so im hoping that it was all good and USCIS wont send an RFE. -
congrats. a lot of great opportunities ahead for you. good luck!
-
i dont thnk you need every single month, it even says so in the DACA faq. I think 6-8 months per year should cover you. Or if they notice the same few months missing every year, that would be pretty suspicious. But thats just my opinion, a month gap seems kinda unfair especially considering some people are probably missing at least a month per year. I definitely don't have evidence for every month.

there was a time when i wouldve just said they deserved it and i don't care because they did something bad. but ive been trying to be a better person and be more understanding, so lately situations like this just make me feel bad for the "evil" individual. Yes justice should definitely be served and the one who is still alive should answer for his crimes, but at the same time you just have to wonder, why on earth would they do something that would clearly have a negative impact, not only on the victims but on themselves also. we can all say they were extremists and they trying to strike fear into people's hearts, but is that really enough reason to foster the level of chaos they did on Monday and then again on Thursday night? I'm really upset that any of this had to happen at all, but when you think about itm only 3 people died out of the thousands that were attending the Marathon. This could have been A LOT worse. We should all take that into account and be thankful, but also remember those 3 who lost their lives.

Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
profjouster replied to Tonatiuh's topic in Dream Act News
I agree with Santi 100%, its these same generalizations that have kept immigration reform stalled for so long. Im sure youre all very familiar with the "theyre gonna steal our jobs" line of logic. generalizations hurt more than they help. hoplefully people will look at this with a level head and see that it was too individuals with extreme ideologies that did this, and not some immigrant conspiracy.
