  1. How Long Before Getting Approved In Cali?

seems like CA is slowing the approval rate as of late.
  2. I Do Not Have A I-94, Help!!!

When you arrive in the U.S. you will receive the I-94 form. Form I-94 or the Crewman Landing Permit (Form I-95) also known as "Arrival Departure Record" is given to every foreign national who enters US on a non-immigrant visa. You will be required to fill this form when you enter U.S. The officer at the airport will staple a part of this form to your passport at the Port of Entry (POE). I-94 form is a very important piece of document. It shows the date you arrived in the US and the date when you should leave the US. Every visitor, irrespective of his visa is advised to take good care of this document and return it while exiting US. that is basically what an I-94 is. so if you came here to the US legally, you would have one. however, if you didnt come legally then, you wouldnt have one. not having one is no big deal.
  3. Girls Smoking

i think smoking is nasty. the smell gets all over the place. in your clothes and hair. i dont even let my mom smoke in her house. whats weird, is that i LOVE the smell of pipe tobacco. one of my exes use to smoke a pipe and he has this peach tobacco, OMG...
  4. Bio Where

it will say on the bio letter where, when and what time to go. make sure you have a form of ID with you when you go. passport, country ID, student ID. when you get there, you will give your letter to the guard, he/she will then give you a form that you will need to fill out. basically just some basic info. you will need to write down your A#. then you give it back to the guard and they will check out the form and your ID. your name will be called and then you'll see someone else who will make sure your info is correct. then you'll be given a number. once your number is called, you'll sit off to the side until they're ready to take your finger prints. once your fingerprints are done, your picture and signature will be taken as well. after that, they'll say good luck and give you a little survey thing to fill out and your done. my appt was at 8am, i got there a little early but was done by 8:20am.
  5. Hi Reyd and welcome!! I turn 30 in june so now i guess your officially the oldest member here (jk)
  6. nothing new. i've been hearing about this since, i think, 2011.
  7. Still Waiting

if that's when you did your bios then waiting is all you can do.
  8. who were you adopted by? and at what age? if you are still a student, then there have been some people that were were able to use their student IDs as IDs at their bios. can i ask what evidence you sent to prove your idenity with your application?
  9. heck yeah, they are. that's why i HATE when i call customer services and i get some guy name "david" who has the thickist Indian accent ever and all they do is read from a script. OH MAKES ME SOOOOO MAD!!!
  10. the wait time is between 4 and 6 months. some will be process faster and other slower. no one is sure why this is but after your bios all you can do is wait until there is an update on your case. calling USCIS before the 6 month waiting mark will not help because most of the time, they will just tell you to wait. best thing to do is just try and keep busy and keep your mind off of the waiting.
  11. oh, oh,ok...so i think the "unassigned" numbers are numbers that SSA sets aside in case they are needed and then when "run out" of numbers, they start using the "unassigned" numbers. kind of like having a savings account and taking money from there when you're regular account has no money.
  12. i would think that if you have one, then it's assigned to you. dont know what "unassigned" means either. but i found this too. http://www.lavasurfer.com/info/socialsecurity.html
  13. i know before, the SSN number use to mean something. like having a SSN number that starts with 609 means that you got it in CA during the late 80s. but i think now, the SSN is randomly assigned. http://www.thetaoofmakingmoney.com/2007/03/05/270.html
  14. Second Bio Appointment

something went wrong??? like what, they lost your fingerprints?? i think that's crap. i know when i went from my bios, the lady did each finger at least twice until the print was green. who knows maybe after this time, you'll get approved fast!!
  15. [Free]Federal & State Tax Filling

    @Rawf...did you claim EIC??
  16. How To Check Case Status

no. once your case has been updated, either with an approval or and RFE, your case will be updated. there have been computer errors that have happened but for the most part once USCIS updates your case, it will show online.
  17. Why ????.

you're not unlucky. you're not the only one waiting either. know it's hard to be patient. you're day will come and you'll know that feeling that everyone else has had too.
  18. it should arrive after a few days. 3 to 5, i would assume.
  19. Requesting more evidence/info??

if you signed up for the status updates online then you should get an email saying that your case has been updated.
  20. Requesting more evidence/info??

it depends. there are people from august and september that are getting RFEs just now. all you can really do after your bios is wait.
  21. Requesting more evidence/info??

this is what i found on the FAQ page for DACA on the USCIS website Q1: May I file affidavits as proof that I meet the guidelines for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals? A1: Affidavits generally will not be sufficient on their own to demonstrate that you meet the guidelines for USCIS to consider you for deferred action for childhood arrivals. However, affidavits may be used to support meeting the following guidelines only if the documentary evidence available to you is insufficient or lacking: A gap in the documentation demonstrating that you meet the five year continuous residence requirement; and A shortcoming in documentation with respect to the brief, casual and innocent departures during the five years of required continuous presence. If you submit affidavits related to the above criteria, you must submit two or more affidavits, sworn to or affirmed by people other than yourself, who have direct personal knowledge of the events and circumstances. Should USCIS determine that the affidavits are insufficient to overcome the unavailability or the lack of documentary evidence with respect to either of these guidelines, it will issue a Request for Evidence, indicating that further evidence must be submitted to demonstrate that you meet these guidelines. USCIS will not accept affidavits as proof of satisfying the following guidelines: You are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran from the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; You were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012; You came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday; You were under the age of 31 on June 15, 2012; and Your criminal history, if applicable. If the only evidence you submit to demonstrate you meet any of the above guidelines is an affidavit, USCIS will issue a Request for Evidence, indicating that you have not demonstrated that you meet these guidelines and that you must do so in order to demonstrate that you meet that guideline.
  22. depends on what info they are looking for and how fast you can get it to them.
