  1. Taking Too Long?

the time frame for the DACA process is 4 to 6 months. that only includes working days as USCIS does not work on weekends or holidays starting after your bios. and once your DACA application is approved, USCIS still has 90 days to make a decision on your I-765. there is also no specific order in which the applications are processes. sadly the only thing to do is wait.
  2. i dont think on this forum, there has been someone that has been denied. i know there are a few people who had the applications sent back to them because they forgot to sign the application. and there have been people who have gotten RFEs. if it has been that long since your bios, then it has only been 47 working days. just have to have patience and good thoughts. know it's hard because its such a tough thing to be patient about but try to keep busy and keep your mind on other things.
  3. then one would probably be subject to the 3 to 10 yr ban when one leave the US. what the waiver does is, waive the ban for someone that needs to leave the US in order to obtain their visa
  4. i think this only pertains to those who have a USC or PR parent or spouse. unless you have a parent who has filed an I-130 for you and can apply for a visa, then I think DACA is (sadly) your best option.
  5. this "new" rule has been around for years and years. proving the extreme hardship is the hard part in the whole thing. there are 2 ways to apply for it. while said person is in the US or while said person is outside of the US. the process is hard and that is why not a lot of people apply for it. i wish the White House would stop taking old ideas and make them sound "new" it helps no one.
  6. having saving really helped me when i finally got my own apt. most of the money i saved, went to the rent and deposit and buying everything i needed for my apt. and it also gives me some cushion in case i have an emergency.

  14. online dating

i met 2 of my 4 ex-boyfriends online. dont think it's a bad idea if you're testing out the "dating waters"
  15. you think with all the money people pay to file petitions and what not, they would keep a computer on hand to make sure errors such as these dont happen.
  16. more then likely it was a computer error. i have heard of that happening when USCIS sends out a receipt notice instead of the actual approval letter and/or card.
  17. OMG...CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TO WORK!!! AHHHHH

  18. i think we should all write our Congressmen/Congresswomen and Senators about this matter. the new Congressmen/Congresswomen and Senators wont take office till Jan. 03, 2013 so I say we flooded not only their DC offices with letters but their local offices as well. i wonder how much of an impact it would have if each DACA applicant, approved or not, wrote at least 3 or 4 letters about immigration reform
  19. what's your new year resolution?

i tend not to make any. just because i know that if i truly want to change something and have the power to do so then i dont need a date or certain time to start it.
  20. i thought the 4 - 6 month wait time started after your biometrics not when you first submitted your application
  21. Requesting more evidence/info??

usually the RFE letter will state what evidence USCIS wants. which makes it pretty easier so i would wait and see what the letter says and then go from there. remember that affidavits can be used in certain situations.
  22. i think they probably put that "time frame" so that they dont feel pressured to make a decision so fast. june of 2013 would mark 10 months since you first submitted your app and in my opinion that is WAY too long to wait for a decision. i would wait til the end of next month and then if you dont receive anything, i would call them again.
  23. so wait...

from what i understand, you have to show proof that you arrived in the US before the age of 16. whether that be by school records, or medical records, etc..... then you must prove that you have been in the US since 2007. however, if you have an I-94, which you might because of how your father came to the US, then you will need to send a copy of that as well. as far as proving that you've been here since you were 4, i dont understand the need for that.
  24. kick rocks!!!!!!

  25. question??? about my case

yeah, once they mail your EAD, you'll have it within a few days, then the SSN takes any where from 5 to 10 days to get in the mail and if you live in a state where the DMV gives you the DL/ID the same day you apply for it then you should be good.
