      oh they didn't ask me for their social security number they jut asked me their names which were on the birth certificate but can I call the office? because on the social security website it says that you don't need your birth certificate you can show the passport as proof of identity and the lady said after my BC was translated she would call me to give me my ss number and its gonna take up to 4 weeks to get it translated :(

      i would go back and see if you cant talk to the person in charge. and show them the print about from their website about DACA applicants applying for SSN. i dont get why they are giving you such a hard time.

      when I went to apply the lady knew nothing about deferred action she had to look it up in the handbook it is not a big immigrant state so that is probably why.
