  1. Latest Update i believe is they ditched the pink stripe and just left the "Legal Presence / No Lawful Status" in red letters in the front. I've lived in NC since I was 8, sucks but at least we get licenses. Unlike AZ. Im still working to get mine, but Im pretty sure it'll be like i just described.
  2. I'd say it could be anywhere from like 7am to 5-6pm Monday - Friday. I've read in the forums people getting notifications at 6-7am that they were approved. I myself got the approval emails at around 4-5pm. They're actively looking at applications so the time just depends on when they got to yours .
  3. Is This Mean I Got Approved?

Yes that's an approval congrats! Your Deferred Action should be approved tomorrow .. This is typical. Same exact thing happened to me. I went online and checked my case status, noticed my employment authorization was in card production, the next day at 10am my deferred action was updated/approved. Very exciting
  4. Re-reading that specific line "You have not established that you were in an unlawful immigration status in the United States on June 15, 2012"" To me that seems like, you had some kind of status (Visa, etc) that hadn't expired yet as of June 15th, 2012 or somehow you were not able to prove you were Undocumented basically.Because if they wanted proof of you being here, they would have said Physically proven you were here on [Date] I would think. What's your situation like? As in, did you have any kind of status at all during 2012? If not.. then they must mean proof that you were in the US during that time frame. They needed Bills/Documents anything placing your name with a date inbetween Jan-June of 2012. If you don't think they made an error, the only thing left to do is to reapply, pay the fee again and wait. Its only recommended that you reapply if you find new evidence, or you'll probably get another RFE again. If you did think they made an error and you provided what you think was sufficient proof, then you can request to have someone look over your case again.. just to see if they made a mistake. I wish you luck!
  5. Heyyyyy.!

Welcome! I do wish you the best.. but as long as you send what they are asking there is no reason they shouldn't approve. At least they are finally looking at your application. The nerve that they wait 10 months and then send an RFE. Oh well, good luck!
  6. Walk-In Biometrics?

Its worth a shot, they're not gonna cancel your appointment if you go in and try and are unsuccessful. It typically depends on how many people are there that day and what the guard says. Just take the letter with the appointment info, take your passport/birth certificate etc.. and if you're allowed in, you fill in the application.
  7. Hi, I'm Jorge

Everyone is giving a specific date and time to show up, however depending where you live and what your closest location is, some areas let you go and take them early. If its not too far away its worth a shot. If you can't walk-in they'd just tell you to come back on your appointment date. No damage done. It should tell you on the Biometrics appointment letter where your location to go is. Also, as long as you sent a good amount of evidence you shouldn't get a request for more. I was just suggesting in the chance they did, you'd be ready to go and mail it back. Good luck! also try not to drive yourself crazy checking the receipt #s on the USCIS website, I know i did and it really didnt help me checking daily.
  8. Hi, I'm Jorge

Welcome to the forums! Hang in there, time will pass and hopefully an approval will come soon ^^ I'm 23 myself, been here since I was 8. Being illegal really hit me when I decided to take Drivers Ed class with my friends and on the very first day we got our forms to fill out.. almost the 3rd thing down the list that was asked for... Social Security number. I dropped that class that afternoon. It really hit me hard and its hard to believe Im 23 now. Time flies, I was recently approved for DACA and just today received my Social security #. I'm pretty happy to begin my life now, even if it took a while to. Thing i would recommend, If you can .. go walk in to your biometrics appointment if its allowed, you could really speed up the process by doing so. Also maybe have some extra evidence lying around in the offchance you do get an RFE. I hope you are approved soon ^^
  9. Finally On The Road!!

Ah crap sorry thought i put it somewhere in my post. I'm in North Carolina. Yep the state which actually removed the ability to get licenses for DACA recipients back in March. Heh least i can get one now. I think i've got the process down though. Basically.. There's a written test and a driving test.. once youve passed both.. then you get your license. I'm sure there's a few details im missing but i'll keep reading the NC DMV website. Thanks!
  10. Finally On The Road!!

Congrats! How old are you? What was/is the current process in getting your license. Reason I ask is.. I am kinda lost. I've been reading up the general process in getting your license for my state but I'm still confused. I'm 23, recently approved.. still waiting for my card to apply for my SSN. Once i get that, am i supposed to go to the DMV and take the written test? If i pass I get a permit? then I return and take the driving portion of the test to actually get my license? Would be awesome if someone could clear me up on that.. I always though of "permits" being for anyone under the age of 18, taking drivers ed classes.. etc..
  11. 2Nd R.f.e (What?????)

You need to show that you were somehow physically present somewhere at some point. Even if the proof is just your name and date. You need to find a document that has your name and a date somewhere where they are asking for. Some things I sent. Ebay/Amazon/Newegg invoices. Any one purchase you did as long as its in your name.. will work. (I sent many of those to cover a 3 year gap i had) Hospital records.. were you seen by any clinic or hospital even for the smallest thing. As long as they took your name. Dentist Appointments/Eye appointments.. anything.. Think back during that year.. what did you do? Where did you go? Lastly.. what about shot records? Did you get the Flu shot that year? Local health department records? What about local taxes? Own a car or a trailer or anything you have to pay county taxes for? Any bills within that time frame that are under your name? I really hope this helps and good luck!
  12. Check Your DACA Case Status

I've been approved! Employment Authorization Approval: August 29th Deferred Action: August 30th. Just waiting for my letters in the mail now! My timeline: Application Sent: May 17th Received: May 21st (Nebraska) Biometrics Taken: June 27th Approval: August 29th. Time: 2 Months 2 days since Bio. (Total 3 Months 8 days) Im sorry to everyone waiting for so much longer its honestly bittersweet. I would keep reading these forums and on top of not being approved before.. I also felt terrible to those waiting from last year. It will come! Also.. To those searching receipt #'s before yours and after.. the # right after mine was approved August 20th while the 20 #'s before me still haven't been approved to this date. So it is random.. Good luck! Edit: Some info about me.. Im 23, Overstayed when i was 8. Graduated in 08. For Proof i sent in School records, Hospital records covering (2009/2010) I also sent quite a bit of Amazon/Newegg/Ebay Invoices.. so THOSE HELP! They helped me cover some years (2011/2012) with things I purchased online. I hope this helps
