I came legally. although my passport is expired now i don't know if i still qualify and also it says online that they're not accepting any applications anymore. does anyone know when the next deadline is. i think it was march 2nd of this year but i never completed the application..

Does anyone know of any scholarships to apply for in California? I'm trying to go to school for medical assisting but they told me the only way to do this is by taking out a private loan of $17,000 for the tuition cost. I was going to do this but I'm afraid I'll get in debt. And not being eligible for financial aid sucks.. I don't know what to do. Do any of you have any suggestions or experiences similar to mine? And do you guys know of any way I can get a scholarship or any type of financial aid.

I need help making a resume for when I go look for a job. I have no job experience what so ever and I've never really volunteered in stuff in my community and when I was in high school. All I know is my personality traits and what I'm good at. Can someone help me out please ..

Once you are approved for DACA are you required to enroll into a school for the next two years that your DACA is valid for? I was wondering because I'm having a hard time trying to enroll into a vocational college that I want to go to and instead have decided to start working first. I heard that if you do not go to school they take away your DACA stuff. Is this true ?

My name is spelled "jenniffer" on my birth certificate but my employment card only came "jennifer" this is usually how every American spells my name for some reason. Should I contact them about this issue or do you think I should just leave it. Would I have a problem in the future because of it. It's like they think I can't spell my own name or something -.-

I'm so excited , I wanted to share with all of you I just recieved my employment card in the mail. I'll be going to the social security office as soon as I can to apply for a number wow, it feels amazing to not have to worry so much now. Congrats to everyone being approved & my prayers & hope goes out to all of you who are still waiting your day will come!

Is it true that being approved for DACA means you have to go to a community college & at least work up to two years for a 4 year degree? I was reading something that said that & I'm worried now because I've been approved but I was planning on doing a 9 month program for Medical assisting & then after going to a community college later in the future. Does this mean I can't do a 9 month program to finish quick and start working in the medical field faster? I would have to wait 4 years to become a registered nurse if I decided to go straight into a community college..

i thought this day would never come I'm so happy... I applied back in November & my 2 brothers got their DACA approved 2 weeks apart from eachother so I expected mine to come within 2 weeks too & it did. have faith ! I checked online and supposedly my form saying it was approved was mailed yesterday so I'm hoping it will come today

just wondering.. after my DACA approval if i decide to get married with my baby's father who I've been with for 4 years, would i have to leave the country or anything like that? I came to the US legally with visa I just over stayed the time that i was given to be here and did not return to my country. Would that affect me in any way? just wondering. I've read that people have to leave the country but I'm not sure.

So I have 2 brothers, we've all filed for the deffered action thing i believe back in October 2012, did our biometrics and everything and pretty much have just been waiting. Well about one week ago one of my brothers recieved his two letters in the mail saying hes been approved. Just today he got his employment card. I'm pretty sure that if he got approved I have a possibility of being approved to since the process was all the same and the same paperwork. Now I'm just left wondering if my stuff will come soon, or does everyone have their own case and timining even though we've filed for our stuff the same day through our lawyer.Just hoping to recieve my employment card in this next month It's already been 8 months. what do you guys think?

What is the California dream act?

I had never volunteered or anything of that nature. I have a daughter but I don't know if that would be ok to put on a resume as child care or whatever. Thanks anyway, I made my own résumé with my high school education, my qualifications such as social skills etc, and some awards I've recieved in school. I've applied to lots of places and no luck yet /:

What do you have to do in order to travel? Like do you have to get a passport or something? I have a passport from when I came as a visitor when I was a little girl but it is expired..

Oh okay! Thanks guys. Yea I already graduated from high school it was a question about college. I'm not too worried now & I will continue to see if there's a way to get into school. Thanks!

The school I am trying to attend is basically a nine month program for medical assisting. Would this still help me out?
-
I just called the school I am planning to attend (vocational school) not community college and they basically told me that I can apply for a private loan since that's basically the only option DACA students have. Has anyone had any experience with private loans? I'm worried I won't be able to pay it off..
