  1. Looks like this is a thing.. http://www.trackitt.com/uk-discussion-forums/i485-eb/1216876315/scam-phone-call-from-uscis http://www.adelayolaw.com/watch-out-for-fake-uscis-phone-calls/ http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?128161-Phone-call-from-USCIS!!!!
  2. I did think it was weird too that they called you. I too don't think the USCIS would call anyone like that. Do you have the phone number on your caller ID that they called you with? Maybe we can look it up online.
  3. She gave you her fax number but what about her phone number? I'm saying this just in case you need to get in contact with her to ask a question. SHE herself should've given you examples of what they would accept. I'm surprised the taxes and affidavits thing wasn't enough. Don't lose hope, you're almost there! You're not gonna start losing hope now, you're stronger than that, you waited for 10 months. Let's brainstorm and make a checklist, Is there "anything", at all that has your name on it from Jan - Jun?
  4. man, this is crazy.. syrian nationals are given protected status now, yet us dreamers that have lived here almost all of our lives are still trying to get a work permit

  5. Hello, My Name Is Fernando. This Is My Story

wow.. you're a strong man.. pls continue to stay motivated and feel free to reach out to us here for any words of advice/encouragement.. are you still in arizona? i don't know how things are but maybe you should move to another state when you get the chance. their government hatred is too much
  6. i've always felt there should be a movie in this country about people like us that shows to the American audience what we've went through and are still going through

  7. ok i did get a letter in the mail earlier today from the department of homeland insecurity. in summary they said they're still "making every effort to process these cases within the stated timeframes and hope to move your case in the near future" and that i should "please allow 60 days for uscis to complete your request". well hey.. i mean .. maybe they're hiring? if and when i get approved i'll go work for them.. im sure it won't be hard for me to take 10 months to work on cases
  8. lol awesome! man you waited a long time! i better calm my behind.. fussin about submitting in january and still waiting
  9. Thank You God!!! You Are Awesome...

    awesome congrats to your hubby

  11. Gracias Dios Mio !!

    awesome! congrats!
  12. this is exactly what i did.. just something officially dated that refers to your presence at that time.. what about the rent agreement for 2012 - 2013? perhaps you can even get the rental company to sign an affidavit saying that you were actually there in mid june too?
  13. Thank You God Finally!!!

    awesome! congrats
  14. something that covers that date.. i used my lease agreement which was actually signed on may 31st 2012 but it was a one year term. i haven't gotten an RFE back saying that it wasn't enough evidence.. but if i did, they have got to be some of the most retarded people in this country
  15. Allow Myself To Introduce.. Myself

local office? as in local uscis office? you'll need an infopass set up for that but i'm a bit skeptical because look what it says for information regarding DACA on this page: http://infopass.uscis.gov/ . it still doesn't hurt to try though.. the people that first pick up the phone aren't actual officers.. they're just people working at a call center that read off a screen. There are some circumstances however, that they transfer your case to an actual officer over the phone. when next i speak to them, i'll try to find something out. i don't remember using my social security card as proof i was here in 2012. maybe i did but i know i actually used my lease agreement that had my name on it because it showed that i physically signed and dated something official that year.
  16. After 9 Months I Finally Got Approved!!

    WHOOOP!! CONGRATS!
  17. Allow Myself To Introduce.. Myself

Thank you. I am supposed to hear something from them in a little over a week from now and I'll let you know. I filed for the DACA by myself but used lawyers to file for my other cases in the past. I could care less about those cases now really because I just want to be able to work, generate money and afford a visa to live in another country later on. I remember you posting about it in the other thread. I looked at everything and I really do think you showed enough proof with that affidavit. Were you able to speak with an immigration officer over the phone regarding it?
  18. Thank You God!!!!

    CONGRATS! WHOOP!
  19. Do You Carry???

at first i thought this meant if we carried a weapon
  20. Response From Nebraska Service Center

maybe someone at the congressman's office is like "aww hell another one's pulled the congressman card" and puts the letter in the 'approve now' bin
  21. Daca Denied

i think he has to prove he's been here since june 2007.. what i did for example was show utility bills and rent receipts with my name and address on it for each year since 2007.. i really don't know about the affidavit thing.. it's not listed on http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD the trend with those documents is that those are official documents.. is there anything else on that list you could provide? even like bank receipts? actually i take it back.. i just found this on that same page:
  22. Response From Nebraska Service Center

it's time about that time you get a congressman or representative involved
  23. Daca Denied

yea like @star28 said.. at this point i'd seek out a lawyer or go meet an immigration officer
  24. same here. they sent out an inquiry on my behalf yesterday and i'm waiting 14 days to hear back from them. we deserve every right to know something other than, "its just pending". of course we know it's pending, we're not stupid.. just want to know what the hold up is
