  1. Hello everyone, I had a question regarding the I-765 Worksheet; here's the deal: My brother is currently employed and has been employed by the same company for the past 5 years. His starting annual income was in the order of 20,000 USD. He is currently making about 50,000 USD anually, based on his 2012 income tax report. His expenses are about 15,000 USD anually. I am trying to help him send in his applications and evidence but I came across the worksheet and I hesitated because I'm not sure on what grounds the USCIS considers "establishing financial need." My case is very different; I make about 7,000 USD annually and have expenses of 10,000 USD due to school and what not, so I definitely have a case for establishing the need to work. I believe that my brother does, too, however. Has anyone had an experience similar to this? Does your actual income/expense ratio affect your chances of being approved or denied? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  2. Hello, my name is Emmanuel: I'm originally from Mexico but have been living in-and-about the Houston area for the past 19 years. I'm 25 now. I go to the University of Houston and I plan on graduating next Fall. I'm not sure why I waited so long to even consider DACA, but now that I'm here, I hope to learn from the folks here on the forum. I hope everyone is doing well with their cases and in their personal lives. Cheers!
  3. Denied...what To Do Next?

I'm really sorry to hear all that, man. As others have said, re-applying would probably be your only option. Definitely consider consulting with an attorney and your own research online, as well. I don't mean to get too personal, but how did you get caught using "fake?" There are a lot of people out there that rely on ID that is not their own just to work and provide for their families. Perhaps sharing your story might help prevent others from being in a similar situation. But only if you want to share. Stay optimistic and we're all hoping that you get your work permit soon. I also pray that your dad can find work and everything turns out well. Best wishes, man.
  4. Thank you SO much for taking the time to provide that information! Hopefully we can have his packet fixed up sometime this week. God bless!
  5. That's awesome. Do you remember what you put in the "explanation" box? Thanks for the reply
  6. Thanks y'all! Here's hoping for good news, also
  7. Nice. I think I'll try the same here in Texas--assuming all goes well. Thanks for the help so far!
  8. Thank you, Oh, I see. So did you call in to check if they would accept walk-ins? Or did someone suggest you do this? I just sent my applications on September 16, 2013 and received the receipt notice via e-mail three days later, and just barely received the paper receipts via "snail mail" this evening. On the receipt it says the next step is the biometrics appointment, which I assume the letter will arrive sometime this month or next month (judging from the timeline information most users have provided). But here's hoping my case gets approved.
  9. Hey, JoseG I'm new to the forum and was just wondering what the distinction between the "biometrics appointment date" and the "biometrics walk-in" is about. Can you go and get your biometrics processed before your scheduled appointment? Thank you for your time.
