Hello everyone,
I applied for DACA, and received my confirmation letter on Nov. 15 2012, I did biometrics in Dec 2012.
My case center was initially in Vermont as I reside in NYC.
on March 15 2013 I received a letter notifying me that my case was moved to the nebraska center. My heart sank, knowing that for 3 months no one even opened my case.
I checked my case status everyday hoping for a change but it was stuck on initial review.
After 6 months on September I filed an inquiry email, 2 weeks later they emailed me back saying sorry for the delay, and we dont have any more information on your case except that it is being reviewed.
After waiting until November 2013 I went to my local congressman without any avail, they called and asked about my case, but the center just said they were working on it.
I emailed the nebraska center again and on Nov 14 they sent me an email saying
"Your case is currently under review by an officer. You should receive a decision, correspondence or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter. Actual processing time varies according to each case as well as officer caseload. "
Well guys its Jan 14, 60+ days of waiting and I haven't received anything, through mail or email.
I am going to call the center again tomorrow, as well as my lawyer and demand answers.
You are not alone in waiting 13+ months for your papers to come through. The wait is excruciating...
