  1. Persistence Is Key

Finally got approved one day after writing an e-mail to the Director of USCIS. I sent the email on the 25 of February, the same day my card was ordered for production. The day after on the 26th is when my notice of approval was mailed to my adress. Now I am not in any way implying that writing an email to the USCIS director is what caused me to get approved right away(maybe it was already in the process of final approval) because I did call in for my first service request the week before, but I'm sure it didn't hurt. My case in point being that sometimes we have to take matters into our own hands, we don't have to just sit and wait, persistence is key. Show interest and that you really want and need this. [email protected] < USCIS Director I just wrote to him explaining that my case is about to hit its one year mark and that I wish only to know where I'm at regarding my case. Kept it simple and polite. I have also read elsewhere that taking your case/receipt to your local Representative can help as well. well I just wanted to share my experience hoping it will help others. Don't give up and Good Luck! Application received: 3/4/2013 Biometrics: 4/12/2013 First service request: 2/13/2014 Approval/card production: 2/25/2014 Have not received notice or card yet.
