I being waiting for this for over 15 years!!!! But i fianally got approved for daca and I have my work permit!! My question is after I applied for my social security number can they decide to deny to issue my social security number for some reason.. It just they guy told me it was going to take 7 days and its being more then that and I haven't receive it yet.

So anyways. I went to the ssn administration to apply for my ssn right after I got approved for daca. I brought my work permit and my birth certificate but they said that they couldn't accept it because it was not the original. Even though I thought it was. So I went online and it say that I can bring us driver license, school record, and it gives a lot of option. But the lady told me since it was a new ssn I only got two Options my original birth certificate or my foreign passport. And I don't have either one of them. Please help don't know What to do. Job offer is on the table. I just need my ssn!!!

Don't worry I am sure you guys are going to be approve .... I know is not easy but be patient... I thought I was never going to be approved after 10 month and one week I got it. I think I was going crazy...but for some odd reason Nebraska service it's super slow so I heard. Check the online case status...and trust 5 days after you get approved you will get your work permit!! Good luck to everybody out there who is waiting and congrats for the lucky ones who got approved!!
