I am one of the few that got approved under the dream act 2 years ago, my expiration date is on 10/25/2014 I reapplied as directed calculating 4 months before the expiration date just like they asked, because if you guys remember they told us that if we applied before that our application was going to be rejected, ok so they received my requests on june 27th, i went, and did my biometrics and everything was going well, until when I checked the status of my case today sept 18 they tell me they wont have an answer until december because it takes 6 months or so!!! What??? Why would they make me apply 4 months before my expiration date and the process takes longer??? I am in panic right now because in my job they are asking me for my renewal approval card for work authorization to be turned in before the one on file expires, otherwise I will loose my job. How can this be? Please if someone knows what I can do, I can't be jobless or worse how am I gonna stay here if my permit expires and my renewal application is still on initial review? are they gonna make me leave? or what am I advised to do? Can someone explain why would they go by this system if they knew ahead of time the expiration for my permit was in 4 months? are they gonna send an extention automatically? I appreciate your help and advise in advanced.
