Hi, you guys. I applied for the renewal of my Employment Authorization Card last December (2014), attended my biometrics appointment, and waited... I wasn't too worried at first, because as we all know sometimes the wait time can be lengthy. However, after six or seven months, I had a bad feeling and finally called USCIS (something I should have done earlier) only to find out my work permit had been mailed to my home in May!Of course I never received it... and they told me I had no other option, that they knew it wasn't my fault but it wasn't their responsibility either and the only way to replace it was by filing a new application and paying the fee again. It sucked big time. I had to pay everything all over again and begin the process over. I applied for my lost card sometime in August. The last notice I have is one of September 10, 2015. I have been waiting over a month for my biometrics appointment. The last time I called, I was told USCIS may not need my biometrics to be taken again since my case has already been processed once. So now I'm not even sure what I'm waiting for. All I know is my permit was lost in the mail once because I didn't check up on it. I am seriously stressing over this. I can't afford to lose my card again. It is too expensive. It's driving me crazy
