Best Credit Cards To Apply For After Daca
Rawf replied to dreamerinnc's topic in Life After Deferred Action
You need average credit score to apply for that credit card, it says you need to have credit history with at least ONE of the major credit companies for 3 years. So credit is needed, even thought it says for new comers.. makes no sense. In case this is true, I just applied for one and this is the what I got: I will get back to see what I got in a few days. By the way, the first time I applied for Capital One I was denied because I didn't have a saving's account. Go figure LOL -
Best Credit Cards To Apply For After Daca
Rawf replied to dreamerinnc's topic in Life After Deferred Action
Store cards require a high credit score, I wouldn't waste my time with them. The administrator of this forum applied for a capital one and got approved, I can't remember correctly but I think the other one he was approved for was chase? I might be wrong. Other than that, if you have had a bank account with any bank, they might give you a credit card depending how good of a customer you have been. -
Senators Agree On Path To Legal Status For Illegal Immigrants
Rawf replied to Admin's topic in Dream Act News
Have to agree with PSWA83 on this one. require illegal immigrants to register with Homeland Security Department authorities, file federal income taxes for their time in America and pay a still-to-be-determined fine. Those who have been ignoring taxes for years because they are "illegal immigrants" are going to have a very hard time unless they are wealthy enough to afford all those taxes owed to the IRS. -
Thank you Absent! Much appreciated

Help! I Forgot To Do Something On The Application
Rawf replied to drma's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
They will return it, then you sign it and then you add any extra evidence if you want. Then simply send it back. Nothing to be worried about, just make sure you sign everything. -
Would be even more useful if you had a timeline on your signature for others to compare dates. Congratulations on being approved!

Haha No, Nebraska is the second fastest center after California. Vermont is the slowest one, extremely slow if you ask me.
-
Says Texas right under her photo. Lol. Like Jose said, you are still under the allowed time but since Karry was able to make a service request, you might as well do it IF only IF you feel like doing so. Just remember that your case is still under the allowed processing time. I don't think they will be transferring your case to another center since Vermont is sending cases to Nebraska. You are in the hands of the best center of all (at least I think so).

Social Security Number Verification After Doing Taxes?
Rawf replied to Infusion's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I filed and received both refunds directly to my bank account. I have not gotten any letters and I don't think I will be getting one since it was all electronic (e-filing). -
College Applications After The Deferred Action
Rawf replied to L_R's topic in Life After Deferred Action
There's no real difference other than you won't be eligible for federal money. Students residing in California and meet the following requirements are eligible to pay in-state tuition at California colleges and universities. Effective as of October 12, 2001. Requirements Attend a California high school for three or more years Graduate from a California high school or receive a GED from California Provide an affidavit stating the student will apply for legalization once he/she is eligible to do so -
Underage kids do need identification, what is he talking about. How would they know if the kid is a legal child and not stealing it from some other place?

Social Security Number Verification After Doing Taxes?

Interesting, how did you filed? I filled mines online and were approved the very next day. -
Congratulations! So glad to hear! The struggle is over for you and great things await

I don't want to be rude, but when someone is approved it does say so in the online status page and the OP message doesn't say so. Unless it was changed. Whats weird is that when someone is denied, it also says it and in the OP case it didn't. I would call and request an explanation like everyone here is suggesting. Hoping for the best!

Got An Rfe, I Don't Know What To Do...
Rawf replied to ayelenhx's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
No medical records either? Affidavit can work but they cannot go by themself. To begin with, what are they asking you to prove? -
I did it with my new ssn and no issue, the IRS approved it the very next day.
-
I would consider you lucky I have faith in Nebraska.

It's march, some agents will file a service request and others won't. I've read some people say they count from the day the case was received and others count after the biometrics.
-
Good information, but keep in mind that a service request is used to know why your case isn't advancing. This will not in any way speed up the process, you will get a letter saying "Your case is still sitting to be reviewed" or "Your background check hasn't cleared up". Then there will be more waiting. If only things would that easy, but hoping the best for you and everyone whose in the same situation

I had a marvelous experience with the nebraska center. The are quick to review.

Would be easier to tell if you had a timeline like the rest of us on your signature. http://adreamact.com/forum-3/announcement-2-timeline/

Taxes are for the year of 2012, you can't file taxes for 2013.. the year just started not too long ago.

You know someone from this forum was going to do it, and it's been over 12 months and I'm still waiting. Here is someone else doing it by himself: http://youtu.be/Eb8Ak8fDIjM
