That's because of your two years EAD, which is okay because no matter how many years says on the identification card it becomes invalid as soon as your EAD Expires and even if the identification has a longer expiration date you have to go back to the DMV and report it to them. I received my ID in the mail today and it looks just like any other ID, no red text saying temporary or visitor. It does expires when my EAD expires, not on my birthday.

For those who are still waiting! How long have you been waiting?
Rawf replied to Perla's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
It's been 20 days since your biometrics if you went on October 30th. Don't count Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Holidays which we had a few on the month of November. Halloween (31st), Election Day(6th) and Thanksgiving(22nd). That leaves you with November 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 -

I hope your application wasn't written like the comment above, you are 20 years old. Might want to correctly type the words by now. On the other side, Wishing everyone the best of luck and hope you all get news from the USCIS before Christmas/New Years -

Why are all the celebrations so far from where I live! smh.

I think it is a great move. They should of have stopped diversity visa lottery a long time ago and focus on the people who are already inside the country and those who are helping the country, after all immigrant students are contributing to the country by paying out of state fees.

Press edit.. Then full edit. Lol

As EnJR said, now it is time to get your social security number once you get the EAD Card, then when the SSN Card arrives in the mail you can go ahead and apply for an ID/License. Note: Some states allow printouts of the social security number 24 hours after applying, you can use the printout to get an ID/License.

Congrats to all of you!

Still waiting??...getting frustrated
Rawf replied to Mmsj_09's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Don't worry about it, I sent copies of mine and I was 13 at that time.. In my case the passport has always been valid, but they never change the photo unless you travel to the country I was born in. The passport is valid as long as it has the valid until stamp. -
State of Arizona Sued for refusing to give DACA recipients ID/ DL
Rawf replied to Brookness's topic in Dream Act News
Other states should join this lawsuit.. the power of many states can make a huge different against one. -
Ouch that's messed up.

It has been faster than other centers for sure. Or so I can sense.
-
I thought that was a common thing in every state. O.o

@roadrunner11, Apparently her card is in production now, so yes.. You have been approved and the other forms should update soon. @OP, Don't worry about it. Congrats!

It really depends, the average seems to be a month.. but since the re-elections a lot of people began to apply and the process is becoming longer and longer.

Priority request? Is there such a thing?
Rawf replied to Izmo's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Are you sure? You can send the package through priority or certified. Doesn't meant the process will be expedited. -
It means the Employment Authorization Document/Card is in process and once completed, it will be shipped to your brother's mail address. Congratulations!
