  1. My permit was denied in Kentucky.

They request the parent's license number because someone must be responsible for those under the age of 18.
  2. My permit was denied in Kentucky.

Read the requirements at the DMV website. If you're a minor, then your parents must be responsible for your actions and you need their consent.. It sounds about right.
  3. 25 years old and was approved in less than 20 days, I don't think age has anything to do. I'm pretty sure it is the common names and background checks that are causing delays.
  4. DACA, college plans? help?

Do you know if schoolarships and loans are given to DACA in CA?

  6. Look for a Decent Lawyer plus Fees

You do know a background check cost less than $5 right? $2,500 is a rip off.
  7. Hobbies and activities

My hobby is traveling and experiencing new places, love the outdoors.
  8. Coming Out Once APPROVED

This is hard, mainly because all my friends think I'm a permanent resident. I've been in the US for 11+ years and everytime we are in the topic they always say I'm a permanent resident since they are all on working visa. I never denied or accepted, I just smiled and went on doing what I was doing. I don't think it is really needed, legal status shouldn't matter if your friends truly care about you.
  9. The one I got says temporary ID valid for 60 days, but thats until my other one arrives. I read somewhere that no matter how many years the ID/License says, if your EAD expires the ID also expires.. and you are also obligated to renew the license/ID when the EAD is renewed. So getting more years than your EAD is worthless. =/
  10. Hi Guys!

It is very interesting to read someone's story, similar stories, yet so different at the same time. Welcome to the forum and please keep up updated with your case
  11. has anyone been denied?

Did your background showed anything bad?
  12. Still Santi? Hope the next week is your lucky week.. I really hope so. You've been waiting long enough!
  13. When mail arrives under someone's else name we leave it in the mailbox for the mailman to take it back.. and hopefully that happened to yours. But I know some families who are noisy and open mail that isn't for them.. which sucks.
  14. Linkin Park Irisdiscent Dream Act

Gosh, this brings back so many memories. Teary eyes.. I'm sharing this as well on my facebook wall. Apart from this beautiful video, I think the music is a little too loud.. but it's amazing.
  15. Univision..

I know I cried and I was at work lol..
  16. If someone asks me which one is fake and which one is real, I don't think I would be able to notice which one is which since I own a fake and now the real one and the texture, size and even the cutting part are the same, including the colors and dots.. =/
  17. has anyone been denied?

I did a search to see what I could find with Denied DACA, but not much came up. I guess people who has been denied won't easily admit it as it is another closed door to some. I know I would be devastated.
  18. Patience is a virtue.. then open doors become a reality for us to have unlimited opportunities <3

  19. Woot! Now wait for the next step explained in the letters you will be receiving
  20. Anyone thought about Advanced Parole?

If you got the EAD, then you should already know the risks as it is clearly stated in the smallest card that you get in the same envelope. Here is a scanned copy just in case. Read last paragraph. Even if you get approved for Advanced Parole, they can deny you the re-entry to the US because you have been unlawfully living in the United States for more than the allowed time. What I don't know is if they are going to update this since it doesn't sound right to those applying and getting accepted under the DACA.
