    You can report a ssn as lost and get a new one without having the "only for work" text in red. You receive only a card with a number.

The only website you should be at is the http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis To check your application status use the link -> https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do You can check both application numbers, but the one with the most information is the one from your employment authorization letter.
  9. You have to use the number on your work permit letter. Not the one from the DACA letter. They are both linked but you only need the one from the employment authorization letter.

  13. Yes, you're not the only one. There are others waiting in line before yours and a lot of people are applying as well which makes the process slower and slower. I suggest you to check the case online by going to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis Good luck.
  14. I thought that only applied if the son or daughter was under the age of 18. If over the age of 18, the person has to file for permanent residency him/her self. The only way to obtain legal status through parents is IF the parents initiated the residency process with the under age child included. Which doesn't seem to be the case here.

  16. Got my biometrics done today! Went great and tye person who did mine was very helpful and he told me a lot of thinks people don't know about it. All good things.

      I asked him if student loans would be given to DACA applicants and he said they will be given to certain people, unfortunately not everyone will be able to obtain them. But he didn't go into details.

    We can always hope for a change, but you can always try and apply at the bank for a students loan. The worst they can do is deny it.
