Obtaining A Driver's License, Help
Rawf replied to chris_oswaldo96's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
No. Whoever is driving with you MUST have a valid driver's license. -
"Some reason" does not equal discrimination. You have to ask what is the reason and then come to a conclusion.

I've received a few reports and took care of them right away. Thank you to the members who take a few seconds to report and make this community a friendly place.

I have pinned this topic as it provides useful information that has been asked many times. Thank you!

No need to update anything. They are going to update the case for you. The case number doesn't change. Best of luck "TheGame1990".

Traveling Inside The United States
Rawf replied to Jesse_Vigil's topic in Life After Deferred Action
Yes you can travel within the US without issues. Your ID or License should be more than enough, but you can always take your EAD and DACA Approval Letter with you. But don't show it unless asked for it. -
You have to prove you were unlawful in 2007, 2008 does not qualify you for DACA.

I think I posted the wrong link, but to clarify, they were approved. How would they have advance parole without an EAD? That makes no sense.

Is Marriage After Daca Approval A Viable Path To Citizenship?
Rawf replied to flatlinebeforedeath's topic in Life After Deferred Action
You can get permanent residency after getting approved for DACA, here is the tricky part... 1. If you entered the US legally with a visa, you may begin the process now. 2. If you entered the US illegally as in crossing the border, you have to request the help of an attorney to see if you have any options in requesting a green card without having to leave the country. If you do have to leave the country, make sure to have the re-entry on your EAD because it can take months for your visa to be approved to be able to come back to the US. #2 is a long process. Good luck! -

Sent An R.f.e How Long Will It Take Before I Hear Anything????
Rawf replied to TheGame1990's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Why second RFE? What happened to the first one that you needed a second one? -
If the case was dismissed, then it would be no problem. All you have to do is get the proof of the case dismissal and send that along with everything else. I wouldn't mention it directly, it is their job to look at the documents someone sends and they cannot deny you without sending you an RFE, if only if your boyfriend really qualifies for DACA. The charges are not a reason to be denied, but they are going to RFE him if he doesn't send proof of case dismissal, with an RFE the case will be put on hold until you send the information they want from you. Good luck and keep us updated.

What Might Cause Background Checks Longer Than Others
Rawf replied to srs's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I don't believe that's the real reason. Some people take longer because of common names matching with someone who isn't in good standards with the United States and because of that, they have to do an extensive background check which requires a lot more time. Some cases just sit there until someone picks it up, just because you're waiting it does not mean they are already doing your background check. Good luck and hope you hear from them soon. -
Hope everyone is doing great! I've been on and off but I sure read all your messages and try to reply to everyone as soon as I can!

"will You Now Or In The Future Require Sponsorship?"
Rawf replied to surferdudejoe56's topic in Resume/Job Help
Sponsorship cost hundreds of dollars to a company, and you don't need it when your EAD is valid. If your EAD expires and you cannot renew it for whatever reason, then you might want to ask for sponsorship. -
You do know all those changes will take years to be completed right? This is bullshit if you ask me. People should be able to initiate their process while the changes are being made, if they don't then that would be their fault. So the end point here is, if the changes aren't completed, nobody will be getting documents. The douchebag keeps repeating the same thing over and over again.

Social Security Card takes about a week, some (like myself) people get it within 4 days.

I have a regular "capital one", a platinum "bank of america", and a "discover it" credit card I wasn't approved at first when I applied for the discover credit card, but if they deny your online request you will be getting a call from them days after to offer you something that you will be approved for. For the capital one, I had to provide proof of work by showing the checks or the paper that is attached on top.

Request for Evidence. People get it when they didn't send enough evidence. @Jose, Call and ask like the message says. Usually when they do a RFE, it is said in the status and yours doesn't say anything.

Everything has changed for me. From ID to Learners Permit to License, was able to open 3 credit card accounts and purchased a car using a loan with extremely low interest. Don't have the job of my dream, but I'm working on it. Being able to work legally is the most amazing thing ever. Getting e-verified and coming up clean and valid is a great feeling.
