  1. There are many people who've done the walk-in and I'm one of them. The worst thing the ASC guard will tell you is to come back later but they will take you in if they aren't too busy. Good luck.
  2. Like Jose said allow up to 90 days for your i765 acceptance notification and there's no need to be worried. Once your i821D review gets finished, your i765 process starts. Although acceptance on the i821D doesn't guarnatee the acceptance on the i765. But my guess is most people applying for the i821D will be accepted on the i765, too, to be able to work because that's the initial intention of the government (let us work, collect tax, and boost up the economy). That's a good thing if you feel like your i765ws was too simple because that's perfect. You don't need to exaggerate anything or state explanation. 'I would like to be able to work to support myself." is perfect. For me, numbers I put on the i765ws are much different than most of the people because I tried to run my own business, but the part.3 was just a simple sentence.
  3. Yes. Your case review really starts when the biometrics result come out. Getting your biometrics earlier just means your case gets started reviewed earlier, but that doesn't mean you will get notified earlier. Every application gets reviewed case by case basis. The timed consumed to make final decision depends on the center your case gets reviewed under, the official in charge of your case, and most of all, your case. You are misunderstanding something big. No one got approved before the biometrics.
  4. biometrics id??

Your old passport is perfectly fine. The guards are well aware of the DACA applicants, they won't give you a hard time.
  5. my name is Raul, i'm new here.

That was really quick! A person with the biometrics on the sept. 25. with the same USCIS center still haven't received anything yet. I'm glad you got yours quick! Good luck with the rest of the steps.
  6. my name is Raul, i'm new here.

The waiting time after your biometrics until you get your EAD seems like typically about a month or a little bit longer so far. But you have to remember that more people are applying as days pass by, so expect the processing time to be increased. The USCIS mails your EAD to you once you are approved.
  7. You draw some tears from me...just reminded me a few years ago.....I hope the best for you, Santi. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
  8. It took about a month for ppl who filed first, on the Aug. 15. There are only about 5000 people approved of the DACA. The proceeding time for the case is a little different even for the people who've gotten the biometrics on the same date depending on the USCIS center your case gets reviewed under and the official in charge of your case. I know you're excited for the fast processing time so far as to receiving the initial i797s BUT your case gets started reviewed after your biometrics. I can tell you that you won't get your EAD in a week like how you've recieved your biometrics appointment letter. Let's wait a little bit more patiently.
  9. Seems like the business hour doesn't matter. I got my txt after 5pm. You get your text/email whenever.
  10. SSN experience

Pswa I'm really glad to read all these! Everything went well with you!
  11. How to Build Credit Once You Have A SSN

I'm going to change my itin into ssn because, I'm sure you will be able to access your personal info. of your bank account to see yours, both of my bank account says the number I provided are itin. You file your tax like tax lol the IRS is operated the same way no matter what. All they care is collecting the tax. The IRS. Isn't connected directly with the government backup info. like how ICE, FBI, USCIS, and ect. shared the info.
  12. I-765 question #9

    n/a is your answer
  13. Travel outside of the U.S.

A person granted DACA can apply for the advanced parole AFTER you get your DACA approved. If you apply for the advanced parole at the time of filing your application for the DACA, your DACA case will be rejected. You must have a good reason to travel out side of the states. Visiting your family isn't a reason your advanced parole will be approved. Going to attend the college in different country, missionary, and etc, are good reasons. As Rawf and Jose mentioned, re-entry matter is unclear.
  14. Hi, I'm gonna steal this from you and post the link on the blog. I hope you don't mind!
  15. An attorney told me you can do a walk-in before you get your biometric letter with the two receipts. The worst thing they can do is tell you to come back on your appointment time. That's something you can do without getting in a trouble, although I doubt I will do that myself.
  16. Yea. It seems like nothing will get you in trouble by doing that. Not a big deal if they can't take you in, you can come back later.
  17. If it was an hour ago I read this, I wouldn't have believed some ppl did a walk-in session but now it makes sense.....some ppl are getting their DACA approval letters next week.. EDIT: I actually just did some searches on the walk-ins and it seems like that's perfectly possible.
  18. Current Immigration Status

JoseG. Very good point. I called the USCIS and asked "unlawful status:Deferred Action For Childhood Arrival by Ice" on question 15 is correct answer. The representative refused to give me a response. And I see where you are coming from. Defered action granted immigrant are in unlawful status. There are some people who have deferred action granted because this DACA is not the whole new thing. So that applys to people who already have deferred action granted. People who came in with a visa has a status of "expired visa." I don't know what people can put down if they came in without inspection.
  19. Rawf..I don't work but I have applied for colleges and banks with my ITIN number and hit approved. So what I will do is go in and tell them to update my ssn. I've recently went into one of the banks I use to update my ITIN number since I made an account without providing any kind of number and they were able to change it for me. So I realize that working situation is much different from updating my bank account. But if I were you and I've used a fake SSN, I will tell the employer or whoever is in charge of my record that my status has been changed and update on SSN is necessary. Seems like no need to explain what change has been made unless your boss likes to know about everyone else's business. Of course it wouldn't be easy but if you need to work in the same place and can't afford to look for a new one, asking your boss for the contact info. for the CPA he uses and update your info. with the CPA seems like an option, too.
  20. significant misdeamenors ?

Uscis will consider your case even if you have a record. But it would be a bad idea to just file the DACA yourself. Consult an attorney. This might be helpful http://www.justice.gov/eoir/probono/states.htm
  21. Since you are asking about expired passport, I am assuming you came into the country though a visa. If you did, your expired visa attached on your expired passport is very good. That serves you as your initial evidence to prove the date you entered, your initial status when you first entered the states, and etc. If you have a different form of a gov. issued I.d. you don need to worry about getting a new passport for now.
  22. So Anfboii, I recommend you to read through the i821 instruction first. The second bulletin from the page is the instruction http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=05faf6c546129310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6ca66d26d17df110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD. I will also give you a link for a free legal services. http://www.justice.gov/eoir/probono/states.htm What I did is First I talked to my family lawyer and he seemed like he knew no better than I did. He was going to charge me $1500. So $3000 for me and my brother. After the initial consult with him, he called me for the next few days and talked about money. I decided not to work with him. So I prepared everything for my case and my brothers case. There was no need of a lawyer since we both are free of criminal record. I contacted an immigration law affirm and asked if they will just check through my papers. They said they will have one of their lawyer go over my papers if I come in. That is going to be about $200. I don't know your case but I thought I would brief you on my case so you have an idea on what you can do. Good luck with your application! *I am not an attorney. Everything I state should be taken as an advise. One's rejected application shall not be held on my responsibility.
  23. You can still process the application and your expired passport can be one of your initial evidence, too. The reason why you need an I.d. Is so that ASC can check your identity when you go in to get your biometric. You need a government issued I.d. I don't know wha kind of I.d. and documents you have, but YES you need a government issued I.d.
