Need To Leave To Mexico On An Emergency
JoseG replied to Izmo's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
A few people claim to have done it successfully. If you want to try it out you're going to need; Proof from your mom's doctor/hospital of her illness and that she is going to require surgery, the Advance Parole form I-131, Check or Money Order of $360, a copy of your I-797 I-821D approval letter, and a letter explaining the situation for which you need to travel. -
What Documents To Take For Permit Test? Ca!
JoseG replied to Imski's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
No. California doesn't do that. -
You could still be approved before earlier applicants though. You're not going to be put behind the August applicants still waiting. Whoever's case moves along faster is being processed first.
-
Oh, no. I misunderstood your question. Those April approval numbers aren't solely from people who applied in April, they include previous applicants from previous months who were approved in April.
-
Yes. Each month has it's own statistics.

Yes, you're approved. The I-821D updates later. Congrats! -
Ssn Card Say Valid For Work Permit Or No?
JoseG replied to claudiasperez88's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
The full wording is "Valid for work only with DHS authorization" which means that we can only use it for work if we have authorization from DHS, a.k.a. if our EAD is valid. Much different than "Valid for work only" which sounds like we can only use it to work and nothing else. The SSA should put a comma on there "Valid for work, only with DHS authorization" -
I'm not sure. I've seen someone contact their congressman and the response they got from them was the same one they would have gotten if they had done a service request, that the application needed further review. The only way I think it might help is if your application was past the current processing date and it was just sitting there behind later applicants. On the USCIS website it states that the Service Centers are currently working on September 30 applications. Other than that, I don't think they would speed up your application.
-
What they basically do is perform a Service Request on your part. Thread moved to Dream Act Questions & Answers.

SSN numbers are issued at random since June 25, 2011. Our numbers are no different than a U.S. Citizen's. A lot of us are getting 7 and 8s because those numbers were previously unused, so there's more of then in the random pool of numbers.

Here are two people who also made that mistake and they were approved. http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=41323&page=5

CA ID/DL Information & Question Thread (Exam Questions!)
JoseG replied to uclabeatsc's topic in Life After Deferred Action
There's a one time fee of $32 for the DL, which includes 3 chances to pass the written test and one driving test. If you fail the driving test, you have to pay $6 for another one. -
Daca Approval Taking Too Long.. Im Worried
JoseG replied to natasha2468's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Yeah, there are still quite a few August applicants still waiting as crazy as that seems. -
It just tells you that your case has been updated and to check the status at www.uscis.gov

Daca Approval Taking Too Long.. Im Worried
JoseG replied to natasha2468's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
There's still people that applied before you waiting for a response. -
Unless you commit a crime, probably not.
-
I think the 0 means that there were 0 applications under review in the month of August.
-
Mine arrived in 7 days. To get a printout, you go back to the SSA office about 24 hours later and ask for a printout.
-
That's because you need to create an account online on the USCIS website to get text/emails. You only signed form G-1145, that's to get the text/email when they have received your app.
-
How do you know they lost it? Have you checked the tracking number? Have you called them?
-
Locate your nearest SSA office here. Take your EAD card and Birth Certificate/Passport with you to apply for an SSN.
-
Well that can't be good. Did you have a criminal record or maybe sent some "bad" evidence.
-
Yes, you can fly to any state with your state's ID or DL and you can drive through checkpoints using your EAD. Perhaps you should take a copy of your I-821D approval letter with you when crossing checkpoints though, just in case they want to see proof of your legal presence.
