Yeah, I've seen some cases being transferred twice. Not sure why they do that.
-
You should have gotten two receipt letters in the mail shortly after you submitted your applications. Check those letters. They Receipt Numbers should be different, it's usually just the last number that's different.

Yes. The status of your I-765 will jump around a lot after you're approved. First it will go to card production, which is when they order the production of your card. Then it goes to Post Decision, which is when they mail you the approval letter. After that it changes again when USCIS mails out your EAD card.

Some cases are transferred to other offices for faster processing.

To answer your question as to what you or your lawyer can do, unfortunately, not much. You can call USCIS to try to submit a Service Request, but as many other people have shown, the response is always the same, that they are working as fast as they can on the applications. We use to be under the impression that when an applicant reached 6 months of waiting, they would be able to submit a Service Request and their applications would be expedited. The thing about the 6 months is that it's not an official processing time for the I-821D application, and as several people have now found out, doing a Service Request after the 6 months yields no results There is no other option right now besides waiting.

It means your applications were transferred from one Service Center to another, most likely in order to even out the workload. Thread moved to Dream Act Questions & Answers.

You can use your Birth Certificate and EAD. 99% of the time they won't ask you for anything else. If they do, I'm sure your matricula will suffice.

Nc License For Dreamer Will Look Normal ( Its Official )
JoseG replied to esteband's topic in Dream Act News
Well that's one step forward. I still don't see why "No Lawful Status" has to be on there when you already have "Limited Term" -
You have to wait for the EAD in order to apply for a SSN.
-
Oh, then that's good. I also had to request my Birth Certificate from my family in Mexico before I sent off my applications because I had lost my original Birth Certificate.

Like pswa said, you need to have a reason to travel. Humanitarian, Business, or Education, and you need to provide evidence.

It Can Take Up To A Year. Service Request Denied
JoseG replied to Veevee20's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
It certainly can't hurt to do a Service Request, but from what we've been seeing, no one has gotten a positive response other than the generic "we are working as fast as we can" reply. -
Your case is still fairly new compared to others.

It Can Take Up To A Year. Service Request Denied
JoseG replied to Veevee20's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
This is happening more often. People are being rejected from doing Service Requests because USCIS doesn't have an official Processing Time for the I-821D. Either way, the Service Requests aren't accomplishing anything, people are just being told to wait. I think it's only a matter of time before they completely stop doing Service Requests for DACA. -
Recivi La Carta Del Service Request Hoy Marzo 18 :)
JoseG replied to latinagirl's topic in Dream Lounge
Probably just told you that to end the conversation lol. The only thing they can do is put in a Service Request and if you already did that, there's nothing else they can do besides putting in another one. -
Getting Nervous With My Daca Application
JoseG replied to Jburgos08's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
There aren't any official numbers and you can't really estimate how long it takes for the background check to clear since you don't get an update when it does. After the background check, your application then has to wait to be reviewed by an adjudicator.- 20 replies

In another month. April 19 is when you'll reach your 6 months of waiting. With that being said, there is no official processing time for DACA, so those who have done a Service Request after waiting 6 months didn't help them. I've heard more than once actually that some representatives are no longer doing Service Requests for DACA. Thread moved to Dream Act Questions & Answers

Congrats

No. A Service Request can be done if your application has exceeded the processing time. The DACA application doesn't have an official processing time, so if you do a Service Request for it, you will just be told that your application is still under review or waiting to be reviewed.

A service request is done to inquire about your case. You have to call the NCSC 1-800-375-5283 number and speak to a representative to put in a Service Request, or you can do an e-service request on the USCIS website.

Getting Nervous With My Daca Application
JoseG replied to Jburgos08's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
It could be that your application is being held up in the department that does the background checks, or that it's simply just waiting in line to be reviewed.- 20 replies
