If Im Waiting On The Service Request Letter ....
JoseG replied to latinagirl's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
USCIS has up to 15 days to respond to a Service Request, so if they send you the letter on the 15th day, it can take another 2-3 days after that for it to arrive. -
Yeah, apparently that's the answer everyone is getting after waiting 6+ months.

Check your two Receipt letters and your Biometrics appointment letter. Do they show your FULL legal name as it's shown on your Birth Certificate? Is your name written correctly?

JoseG replied to CDELRIO's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Do you have any High School IDs? If so, that along with your High School transcript should be good enough. Thread moved to Dream Act Questions & Answers -

You still can't do a Service Request for your I-821D application since it's only been 5 months. You have to wait until you reach 6 months. I'm guessing Karry did a Service Request for the I-765 application.

Hi there. Welcome to the forums. About your pending application, it is still under normal processing time. There are quite a few people still left who applied in September and even some who applied in August who are waiting for a Decision. There's nothing to worry about. They will get to your case eventually.

When You Send Your Rfe Back Do You Get A Notice In The Mail Saying The Got It

That's a first I hear of someone getting an RFE because of a missed biometrics appointment. So you missed your first appointment? Or do they think you missed it? -

You won't get a letter in the mail, but your status will change online. -
Before June 25, 2011 Social Security Numbers were issued depending on the Area that you lived. The first three numbers of the SSN were called the Area Numbers. This number depended on the Zip Code in the mailing address provided when someone applied for an SSN. The Western States used to have the highest Area Numbers, which began with a 6. The numbers then decreased as you went farther East. The farthest States east have the lowest Area Numbers. For example, Pennsylvania and New Jersey numbers began with a 1, while other states like Maine and Vermont started with a 0. You must be from a western state that used to issue the Area numbers starting with the number 6, like in Arizona, California, Texas, Utah and New Mexico. The Social Security Administration no longer uses this system though. Since June 25, 2011, all Social Security Numbers are now issued at RANDOM. That means that the Area Number or the entire Social Security Number no longer means anything. Your Social Security Number can begin with any Area Number, including the Area Numbers that were previously not issued, like the 734-899, except Area Numbers that begin with 666 or 900-999.

What do you mean? I put the photos in one page, then printed the page. Once I had printed it, I write the location that the photos were taken with a pen, above the photograph.

Well, in that case, they could also think you falsified your bank statement records as well. They could think that, but they are either going to believe all of the evidence you submit, or they won't. Either way, you won't be lying so there should be nothing to worry about. I just wrote the date on the photographs in the bottom right corner in yellow color and I had no issues. I have a friend who was RFEd for continuous residence and I told him to do the same thing and he was approved a week later after sending back his response. He sent back facebook check-ins, photographs, and affidavits. You don't have to send the photographs if you don't feel comfortable doing it, but you'll have to find other evidence to submit. If you can get bank statements for every month and have transactions done, and can get maybe two affidavits, that might be enough, but sending in the photographs can only help you.

If you have the photographs on your computer, you can right click on the photo and click Properties, then click on the Details tab and see if it says what date the photo was taken. Then you can add the date to the photograph on the bottom right corner. That's what I did with the photographs that I sent in.

Yeah, you can use photos of you in a recognizable place.
-
Well, if its like a professional looking letter, like if it's from a school, or church, or business, then it doesn't have to be notarized, but if it's from a family or friend, then I suggest you get it notarized if you can. If you can't, try to send in a copy of the person's ID along with the affidavit.
-
Did you buy things online? Do you have the receipts? Do you have any facebook check-ins during that year? Do you have any photographs at recognizable places during that year? Like in a U.S. landmark or amusement park? If you have no other evidence, you would probably have to include several affidavits written by different people. By the way, you have to send at least 2 affidavits if you will be sending using them.

If I were you, I would try to get something for each month. About the June 15th requirement, you don't need something exactly on June 15. You can send in something prior to June 15th or something after. Basically anything from June should be able to fulfill that requirement. Affidavits can't be used for the June 15th requirement. An affidavit is basically a letter written by someone who knows that you have lived here in the United States and who has seen you. Here's an example of one. http://www.mediafire.com/view/?9xiw60kv7z3xwii You can download it and edit it. If someone close to you writes it like a family member or friend, they should include a copy of their ID if they have one and get the letter notarized.

The expected 6 month processing time starts from the Received Date on your Receipt Notices. This has been proven countless of times when people call in to do a Service Request. USCIS always checks the Received Date to calculate how long the case has been processing. With that being said, the 6 month expected processing time is starting to become meaningless because people have exceeded it and USCIS isn't doing anything to expedite those cases. According to them, the cases are either being held up because of background checks, or they're still in line waiting to be reviewed. People have already done Service Requests after exceeding the 6 month wait, and they were just told that they have to wait longer.
