You can fly to any U.S state, including Hawaii and Alaska, using your State issued ID. Traveling to another country can't be done solely with DACA. To travel outside of the Country, you would need to apply for Advance Parole, and that's a whole different application process with it's own guidelines and restrictions. http://www.uscis.gov...0004718190aRCRD Thread moved to Questions & Answers.

Not to sound negative here, but, has your I-765 status changed at all? It should have changed to Card Production if three days have already passed and if you were approved.

Do they have your name on them?

There's August applicants still waiting for a decision, my sister is a September applicant still waiting. Hang in there. Thread moved to Dream Lounge

It still isn't known exactly why that happens. The only speculation is that it probably depends on what information the worker at the DMV enters into the computer from your EAD when you go to apply.

Actually, the numbers don't mean anything anymore. As of June 25, 2011 all SSN numbers are now issued at random. Also, all previously unassigned area numbers will now be used, except 000, 666 and 900-999 My SSN starts with 79, which was previously an unassigned number. On June 25, 2011, the SSA changed the SSN assignment process to "SSN randomization".[26] SSN randomization will affect the SSN assignment process in the following ways: It will eliminate the geographical significance of the first three digits of the SSN, currently referred to as the Area Number, by no longer allocating the Area Numbers for assignment to individuals in specific states. It will eliminate the significance of the highest Group Number and, as a result, the High Group List will be frozen in time and can be used for validation of SSNs issued prior to the randomization implementation date. Previously unassigned Area Numbers will be introduced for assignment excluding Area Numbers 000, 666 and 900-999. Prior to June 25, 2011, a valid SSN could not have an area number between 734 and 749, or above 772, the highest area number which the Social Security Administration has allocated. Effective June 25, 2011, the SSA assigns SSNs randomly and allows for the assignment of area numbers between 734 and 749 and above 772 through the 800s.[28] This should not be confused with Tax Identification Numbers which include additional area numbers.[29] There are also special numbers which will never be allocated: Numbers with all zeros in any digit group (000-##-####, ###-00-####, ###-##-0000).[30] Numbers with 666 or 900-999 in the first digit group.[30] Numbers from 987-65-4320 to 987-65-4329 are reserved for use in advertisements. I responded to your PM absent. Yes, your case should have updated once they have received your RFE response, which should be within a week after you mail it to them. If your status doesn't update to where it says that they have received it, it's possible that they didn't get your reponse and if you don't call in to make sure they did, your case could be considered abandoned if it goes over the time frame they gave you to respond to the RFE.

Pink Stripe On Illegal Immigrants' Driver's Licenses Considered In Nc
JoseG replied to latinagirl's topic in General Discussions
That's just down right discrimination. There is no need for the different color stripe across the top and the "NO LAWFUL STATUS" They already have "LIMITED TERM" on them. -
Congrats!
-
Oh well, at least it wasn't for speeding or reckless driving. Do you know if the ticket will affect you when you try to get the License?
-
Ah, that sucks. Did he initially stop you for not yielding him the right of way though? I didn't know about that.
-
Were you driving by yourself? Did he give you a ticket?

We Transferred Your I821D, Consideration Of Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals, To Your Local Uscis Office For Further Processing
JoseG replied to phoenixbird's topic in General Discussions
Vermont is the busiest Service Center of them all, perhaps that's why they transferred your case to a different Service Center. -
In California the Driver Licenses and IDs will be the same for us as the regular ones. The only difference is that some people are given 2 year ID and Licenses while others are getting 6 year IDs and 5 year Licenses.

First time I've seen that. It usually tells you if you were approved or denied. Mine said, "Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity On December 14, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I821D Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations." Maybe it differs from each Service Center or person processing your application. You're going to have to wait until the letter arrives to know the decision I guess.

What Service Center was your case at before? -
Your status will change when you get approved or get an RFE. EVERYONE'S status is in Initial Review until they are approved or are issued an RFE. Your status won't change before that, unless your case gets transferred somewhere else, but that's unusual.
-
The Pink stripe and the "NO LAWFUL STATUS" are quite excessive. They could have simply put TEMPORARY or LIMITED TERM like other states if they wanted to differentiate it from the regular IDs and DLs.

The Dream Act hasn't passed nor has it been introduced. What we are currently applying for is DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Unfortunately, under DACA, the cut off age is 30 years old. Anyone 31 years or older can not apply for DACA. Your best bet would be to wait a couple more months to see what Comprehensive Immigration Reform has to offer.
-
You should call USCIS and ask to do a Service Request about your RFE. On your online case status it should say that you will receive a response to the RFE within 60 days. It has been much longer than that for you.
-
Good luck
-
From the day they receive your application, it will say Initial Review. Your status won't change until you are approved or receive and RFE. Everyone who is still waiting for a response has Initial Review as their case status.

My Sister Received Her Work Permit, I'm Still On Initial Review...
JoseG replied to ayelenhx's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
There could be many reasons as to why she got approved faster than you. Like background check clearance, a faster case worker, easier evidence to verify. My sister applied a day after me and didn't get a response until January 22, about a month after I was approved.
