Filling Out The I-765 Worksheet
JoseG replied to chuckster954's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Well, the whole point of that form is to show that you have economic necessity so that they see that you need the EAD, although I have heard of a couple stories where one person was approved and he made like 60k+ a year. Anyways, not sure how much importance it has, but just be truthful. -
I didn't have anything on that date exactly, but I wasn't too worried because you don't need to prove that exact date. You can send in something shortly before or after that date. I think I sent in an e-mail and a facebook check-in to cover that lol.

Sister was supposedly mailed an RFE letter on December 15. The letter never arrived. I called in for a Service Request on January the 1st. No response in the 15 day processing time. Today, 15 days after the Service Request, I called them again and they gave me an e-mail address to the California Service Center to follow up -.- Now we have to wait until they respond which can be up to 21 days.

Is The Consular Id Card Good For Biometrics?
JoseG replied to Kris's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
My sister and I both used our Matricula for our Biometrics here in Cali. -
I don't think it's possible unless you become a U.S. Citizen. If I could I'd like to just remove my second last name since it's not used here in the U.S.

Did Anyone Came To The U.s With A B1-B2 Visa Or Student Visa?
JoseG replied to Osha's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Pretty strong evidence up until 2009. I sent in a copy of my original passport with the VISA, copies of school IDs, immunization records and a few elementary records like state test results, then my high school transcript and copy of my diploma. I graduated in 2009 and after that I pretty much didn't do anything. What really helped me out were paypal receipts from stuff I purchased on ebay. I had about 6-10 receipts per year so I sent those in from 2009-2012 along with a some facebook check-ins and a few dated photographs that I had. Luckily I didn't receive an RFE for those 3 years. -
Did Anyone Came To The U.s With A B1-B2 Visa Or Student Visa?
JoseG replied to Osha's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I came on a B2 Visa. There is no other immigration option for me besides AOS through marriage. I applied for DACA and my processing time was 99 days from date of delivery to date of approval. -
I tried leaving out my second last name on the SSN application buy the guy said that I had to write it down how it's shown on my EAD. I asked him about the middle name and he said I could leave that out but that it might create some problems or confusion down the road so I just left it like that.

Well, it says it on the DMV website that if our EAD is valid for less than 5 years, we will be issued a limited term ID/DL, so I guess it just depends on either the worker at the DMV or the DMV office because there have been some people who were issued a 2 year ID/DL.

My ID is valid for 6, although it should only be valid for 2 because that's how long our EAD is valid for, but hey, I'm not complaining lol.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just found it weird that he said this. I'm not sure if he has his I-765 Receipt or not and it sounds like he's saying the card is supposed to come with the I-821D application.
-
Welcome to the forums. The expected processing time for DACA isn't 3 months, it's 4-6 months. The 3 months processing time is if your I-821D application gets approved and your I-765 doesn't, USCIS has up to 3 months to give you a decision. Anyways, good luck and hope you hear something soon.
-
I know, but Erik didn't make it quite clear. From what I understood it seems like he never sent out an I-765 since he didn't mention it.
-
So let me get this straight.... You sent out 3 applications right? The I-821D, I-765, and I-765WS. You should have gotten 2 Receipt Letters after sending in your applications. One for the I-821D form and one for the I-765. When you look up the I-765 application Receipt Number online, what does it say?

After Daca Is Approved What Are The Next Steps?
JoseG replied to mlmdo's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
If you didn't apply for one, what did you do at the SSA office? It won't automatically come in the mail. You have to fill out the application at the SSA or print it out at home and take it there to apply for an SSN. After that, it will take 7-14 days for your card to arrive in the mail. -
Hang tight, there's August applicants still waiting for a decision believe it or not.
-
Considering Latinos and Hispanics have very common names, yes, this could cause a delay.

New Uscis Data Show How Daca Delays Decisions In Other Programs
JoseG replied to pswa83's topic in Dream Act News
I don't pay much attention to articles from cis.org considering they are an anti-immigration website.
