  1. November or October? Either way, you wont get anything in the mail until you are approved/RFE. There are many people who did their Biometrics in September and have yet to be approved, so October /November is still early.
  2. Really Important!

Representatives can't do much besides look up your case on the USCIS website and file a service request. They most likely just gave you an estimate. When did you send in your application?
  3. Thanks Sister's case updated on Saturday, but it was an RFE. Not sure what it could be since her case was much easier than mine since she is still in school and we sent her entire school record since Kindergarten up until the date we sent her application. We'll just have to wait for the letter, but I'm sure it will be something simple.
  4. Thanks. Hang in there guys, as you can see, they haven't forgotten about us, our applications are just taking a bit longer to process. My sister has a similar timeline as your's amor, I know you guys will be approved soon
  5. Rejection.

At first it talks about the I-821D, but then it says this "Your signature or a parent's or guardian's signature in the 'Signature of person preparing form, if other than above' block is not a valid signature for this purpose." The I-821D form doesn't have this. The form that has it is the I-765.
  6. DACA Approval List

You can finally add me to the approval list MOE,
  7. I can finally say it! I am approved!

  8. Newtown, Conn. Mass Murder.

That's right. What's the need to own one of these guns? They aren't for hunting, they aren't practical for home defense. They are made to kill people in the battlefield. This is similar to the gun used by the gunman.
  9. Newtown, Conn. Mass Murder.

What a horrible thing. 20 children confirmed dead + 6 adults.
  10. Rejection.

So you signed in the "Signature of person preparing form if other than above" section? You're supposed to sign in the green section.
  11. The Biometrics? $85, but that was already included in the $465 that you sent in with your applications.
  12. I don't think this is correct. Basically what this says is that we need to prove 3 things to the SSA. Our age, identity, and U.S. Citizenship/lawful alien status. Our EAD works to establish identity and lawful alien status, then a passport or birth certificate can be used to establish age. This is straight from POMS, the guidelines the SSA must follow. https://secure.ssa.g.../lnx/0110210020 The only possible scenario where I think they would demand to see a passport is maybe when they can't verify your birth certificate. Other than that, you shouldn't need a passport.
  13. You should have gotten your Biometrics notice at the most 2-3 weeks after you got the receipts. It might have gotten lost in the mail.
  14. Ouch. What did you initially send to cover those dates?
  15. waiting too long?

Like Fabio said, calling in won't do much help. The Customer Service Representative will just search your Receipt Number on the USCIS website and will read word by word what it says, then they will tell you that the expected processing time is 4-6 months. Filing a Service Request after 90 days won't work either since the 90 day processing time for the I-765 application doesn't start until your I-821D is approved, several people have already tried it and they all got the same response, to wait. There is nothing else we can do besides wait for a decision. I still see August applicants getting approved each day and there are many others still waiting, so us September applicants aren't forgotten. Example:
  16. how long do i have to wait???

Well, first of all, this isn't the Dream Act. This is DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Regarding the processing time, there are a few things like background checks and criminal record checks that will affect how long you are going to have to wait. There are still people from August waiting to hear a decision on their case. On the other hand, there have been people who applied in October that have already been approved.
  17. Hello (:

Welcome to the forums. There is a lot of information here. If you can't find it, you can ask and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.
  18. 80 days since Biometrics. I'm guessing something popped up either during the criminal check or the background checks that they need to look into.
  19. License & IDs by State.

I think you will need your EAD, maybe the approval letter for your I-821D to prove Lawful Presence if the EAD alone isn't enough, 2 documents to prove Texas Residency, and your SSN. Here are the documents that can be used to prove Texas Residency. Any of the following documents will be accepted to verify an individual’s Texas residency. The two documents provided must be issued by different companies or agencies. For example, an individual may not use a water bill and an electricity bill from the same company. Current deed, mortgage, monthly mortgage statement, mortgage payment booklet or a residential rental/lease agreement Valid, unexpired Texas voter registration card Texas motor vehicle registration or title Texas boat registration or title Texas concealed handgun license Utility statement (including electric, water, natural gas, satellite TV, cable TV or noncellular phone bill) dated within 90 days of the date of application Selective Service card Medical or health card Current homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy or homeowner’s or renter’s insurance statement Current automobile insurance policy or an automobile insurance statement Texas high school, college or university report card or transcript for the current school year W-2 or 1099 tax form from the current tax year Mail from financial institutions; including checking, savings, investment account and credit card statements dated within 90 days of the date of application Mail from a federal, state, county or city government agency dated within 90 days of the date of application Current automobile payment booklet Pre-printed paycheck or payment stub dated within 90 days of the date of application Current documents issued by the U.S. military indicating residence address Document from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice indicating the applicant's recent release or parole Current Form DS2019, I-20 or a document issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services http://www.txdps.sta.../applyforID.htm
  20. Not approved yet!

There are many people from August still waiting to be approved, even more from September. You applied in October, you might still have a while to go.
  21. Important Question

You can call, but they won't tell you anything new besides what you can see online on the USCIS website. There are others that sent their application in August still waiting. The only thing you can do right now is to keep waiting.
  22. I don't think it has to do anything with racism, just uninformed or nice DMV employees. According to the DMV website here in California, if your Legal Presence Document (EAD) is valid for less than 5 years, you will be issued a Limited Term Driver License. That means that we all should be getting a 2 year DL because of our 2 year EAD. It's not because of racism that some are getting the 2 year DL, that's simply what the DMV is supposed to do. Although some people do get the full 5 year Driver License, it is still not known why. Perhaps an employee that doesn't know the guidelines on EADs, or maybe it's someone who was being nice and bypassing it and giving you a full term DL.
