What are they asking for?
-
In the Riverside ASC they didn't even have a metal detector nor did the guard check you with those handheld ones. It was a small place.

Welcome to the forums. Congrats on your approval.

The car doesn't have to be under your name, you can borrow one from a friend or family member, as long as it's registered and has insurance. Another alternative would be to contact a local driving school and ask them if you could use one of their vehicles for the driving test. I'm sure they offer that service for a fee.

My sister and I are VISA overstays and we are still waiting for a decision.

I wish I knew (at the time) about walk-in's.
JoseG replied to Fabio978's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I wouldn't be so sure about you being approved already if you had walked-in seeing as how there are people who went in for their Biometrics on September 13 still waiting, but, who knows, it might have helped. -
After biometric, processed in same building?
JoseG replied to Imski's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Lockbox - Where you mailed your application. Service Center - Where the lockbox sends your application to be processed. Application Support Center (ASC) - Where you go for your Biometrics Appointment. -
Hmmm... Maybe you could tell them you aren't sure if you will have a ride on the date of your appointment date.
-
Yes, it does, sometimes. I have seen a few people that walked in get approved before their actual appointment date.
-
For those who are still waiting! How long have you been waiting?
JoseG replied to Perla's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
@Fabs Ouch, that's terrible. Why weren't you notified of this earlier? Hope you can work everything out. Those USCIS workers aren't too bright sometimes. That sucks, but at least now you know they have looked at your case and are only waiting for your response in order to approve you. -
How to obtain a Social Security Number after DACA Approval
JoseG replied to JoseG's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
When you go to the SSA to apply for a Social Security Number you need to establish three things. age, identity, and US citizenship/lawful alien status. For those three things, you need to submit at least 2 acceptable documents. Two acceptable documents that can be used are your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and a Passport or Birth Certificate. The EAD will establish your Identity and lawful alien status, and the birth certificate/passport will establish your age. I suggest you print out this form and go back to the SSA and try again. If they don't accept your EAD and birth certificate, show them this form. It is the POMS guidelines that they are supposed to follow. Look under Section C part 2. Alien Applicant. https://secure.ssa.g.../lnx/0110210020 -
After 4-6 months, the expected processing time.

You sent your application on September 6 and you still haven't gotten your Biometrics appointment?! -
On the USCIS website they state that "Official records from a religious entity confirming participation in a religious ceremony" can be used as evidence. Send it in.
-
The I-765 is updated almost always first before the I-821D. Congrats.

Welcome to the forums.

Affidavits are almost always supposed to be notarized, and they are going to play an important role in this case, I suggest you get them notarized.
-
This is an affidavit http://forum.adreama...mple +affidavit You can get a family member or close friend to write one of these for you and get it notarized. It basically states that they have known you from Date X to Date X and that they have witnessed you being here in the United States.

Walking in before your appointment date will depend on the Application Support Center that you were assigned to. Some allow walk-ins, others don't. It usually depends on how busy the Application Support Center is. You can give it a shot and see if they let you in, most of the time they do.
-
Yes, it will say I-821D under Case Type, but where it says Application Number, it should be your I-765 Receipt Number.
-
The Biometrics is for the I-765. The I-821D does not require the Biometrics. On your Biometrics appointment letter, does it have both of your Receipt Numbers? Or Just one?
-
You are only supposed to receive one Biometrics appointment. It is for the I-765 form.
-
You should send in at least 2 affidavits per year that they are asking for. The affidavits can work as supporting documents to the proof you initially sent them. Are you sure you have no other proof? Like online purchase receipts or Facebook check-ins, anything.
