How long after Biometrics to get approved?
JoseG replied to Rickyerique's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Yeah, most people get both forms approved within one or two days of each other, but, USCIS has up to 90 days to give you a response on your I-765 form so maybe they are still looking over it. On the Additional Information part I just stated what some of my expenses where and who was paying for them. -
You can try calling them and asking them if you have been assigned a number. If they say yes, you can go back to the SSA and get a printout with your number on it.
-
If you have the time, I suggest going in before your appointment date to see if they will accept your passport and birth certificate, if they don't accept it, you will have time to obtain a different form of ID.

I'm not understanding what you're saying. Your I-821D has been approved but not your I-765? If so, give it a day or two. -
They won't return your application. They can send you an RFE (Request for Evidence) if they want to see more documentation, but if what you say is true, that your transcript says that you graduated and has the date of graduation on it, then that should be good enough to prove you graduated High School.

If your transcripts says that you graduated and have the date, that should be good enough to show that you completed High School.

Arizona county gives wrong election date on Spanish voting cards.

Of course, it had to be Arizona. -
Thanks for sharing your story with us. It sucks that things didn't go as planned, but hopefully after you receive your work authorization those doors will open for you once again and those opportunities will again be available for the taking.

So you sent your application on the 25th of September and got your appointment for October 29th? You should post your timeline. -
It's quite normal for the I-765 to be approved before the I-821D. It's nothing to worry about since to be approved for the I-765 you would need the I-821D approved first so they probably just haven't updated the status for the I-821D.

I'm not sure what time they start working, but I believe they close the Service Centers at 5:00 pm. Sometimes you might get the text at a later time, or sometimes you might not even get a notification at all. Their system is a bit glitchy.

I liked Obama much more in this debate. He was much more aggressive and assertive in the way he called out Romney's lies. Overall this was a very entertaining and hard fought debate. I could have sworn they were about to throw it down when they both met in the middle at one point. If you want to hear the part on Immigration, skip to 0:56:00

Nice. Yeah it was probably faster because you were already in the system.

It's for all of the illegal immigrants that aren't able to obtain a state issued ID or DL.

All of mine passed, but for some reason the woman re-did some of them. I guess she didn't like how they looked to her.
-
Not so sure about that one yet.

The Dream Act bill hasn't been introduced yet. If it passes, we would have a path to Citizenship and we would be able to join the Military, but until then, we just need to stick with DACA and hope that Obama gets re-elected and the Dream Act bill passes.

Someone help me fill up my I-765 form!

13) Port of Entry. Where did you first put foot on U.S. soil? If you entered with a VISA, your I-94 should have your port of entry. If you entered illegally (Entry Without Inspection) write down what city and state you crossed into. 14) Manner of last entry. Did you come with a Student Visa? Visitors Visa? Entry Without Inspection (illegally) 15) Current Immigration Status. If you came with a Visitors Visa you can put "Visitor Visa Overstay" or if you came with a Student Visa, "Student Visa Overstay". If you came illegally, you can put "Unlawful Status" 16) (C ) (33) Which means you are applying for the EAD under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. -
Yes, like Rawf and pswa83 said, use your legal name, just like it's written on your Birth Certificate.

Welcome aboard. You should post a timeline in your signature so we can see how your process is going/went.

As far as I'm concerned, only U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents may join the Military. We would be able to join with the Dream Act, but not with DACA. DACA does not give us Legal Status, we are still here illegally, we just have Legal Presence for 2 years. It's basically like being here with a VISA, but with permission to work.
