You can do it with either a felt pen or pencil, both are okay. "Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and Alien Receipt Number on the back of the photo" -
How much should I pay a lawyer to help me?
JoseG replied to Rickyerique's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Call different attorneys and ask them how much they charge. $1500 seems quite steep. -
My dad's Expedition, that is until I get enough money to get my own ride haha. I'll finally be able to take his 2012 F-150 for a spin though.

Help with Question 16 on Form I-765, please?
JoseG replied to GuiCarvalho's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I answered this on your other thread. "On form I-765, question 16 you would have to answer ( c) (33) leave the third space blank. ( c) (33) means that you are applying for an Employment Authorization Document under the "Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" It says this in the instructions. If you don't fill out form I-765, you will not be given an EAD (work permit) and you will not be assigned a Social Security number, therefore not allowing you to obtain a Driver's License or ID, depending on your state. You also have to file form I-765WS Worksheet along with it. " -

It doesn't have to be on that exact date, you can send them proof that you were here in the U.S shortly before June 15 and shortly after. Also, check your facebook or any pictures that you might have that you can use as evidence. Check your e-mails as well. All of the information on what types of documents you can submit for proof is found here. http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/files/form/i-821dinstr.pdf -
After reading this thread I went today to my cities Police Station but since I don't have a current government issued ID or current school ID they didn't give me the background check. I'm with Itzel, we are already sending them $85 for the background and fingerprints, why would we need to send them a background check if they never asked for it and if they are going to check anyways?

Take your birth certificate to a Notary that does translations, they will translate your birth certificate, sign the translation and stamp it.

Is a valid passport needed to apply?
JoseG replied to yareci's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Like they said, you won't need a valid passport, but it is a good idea to get have a valid "Matricula Consular" It will be needed when you go to get the Biometrics done. Not having a valid passport will show that you didn't travel outside of the U.S. which is a good thing. -
If you think it was the 24th, put the 24th. I'm guessing it would be better to put a later time rather than an earlier one since it's only a 7 day difference. Have you checked your passport? On mine it has a red stamp with the date of entry.

JoseG replied to Admin's topic in Dream Lounge
I've asked at 2 different places and they both said $250 here in California for the paperwork and translation of Birth Certificate, but they aren't lawyers, I believe they notaries.
