      The minimum is 7,400 inccludes books,headsets,and flying hours.Its expensive but it all worth it.

      An airline won't hire anyone who isn't at least a permanent resident unfortunately.

      Yes they do hire,when pilots apply they tell you how many hours you need,your traning and have at least work authorization to work on the us.Thats what i love of the FAA they are not so strict about it
