I can't wait to recieve my WORK PERMIT to find a good paying job. Having a WP can open so many doors for great jobs. I personally hate looking for work because i might have a good interview & all of the sudden the words "background check & e-verify" would come up & just like that a good job opportunity would be out the window. But now, i can't wait to actually give a REAL ssn && REAL id. To work a real ssn & to be able to accomplish so much more! At the sametime it's kind of weird how we are so anxious to work & go to school when people that HAVE a real ssn never put it to good use. I personally know a lot of people who settle for working basic, minimum wage jobs instead of doing something bigger with their lifes. It's annoying how some people take for granted what they have.

I have everything filled out & ready to go, now i just need help with the supporting documentation that needs to be included in the packet...what type of paper work needs to be filled in? i know you either send: -birth certificate, consular id, hometown id, school id -MUST the high school diploma or ged, school transcripts, school records -medical records, immunization cards, medical cards BUT- what if i dont have anything proving i was here on exactly JUNE 15th, 2012?!? what can i do? i've been here since 1993 but i dont have any paper proof with that specific date. all the utilities bills are under my husbands name,,,, HELP!

me too, some finger prints we're coming out "good" so she had to re-do but in my head i was worried thinking they we're gonna think im a terrorist && throw my butt back to mexico lol. as soon as she said we we're done, i literary rushed it out of there

i will! in such a case where im not going to make it thru i would like to atleast help someone survive && give the gift of life. lets face it, when we die either we go under the ground or we become to ashes. why not give what we're not using to someone out there fighting for their life? I would be proud to be the cause someone gets a second chance

i completely agree with you guys. It would be really embarazing at times when friends were getting their driving permits && ids or even nowadays when we try to go clubbing some places only let you in if you have a "valid id" its BS if you ask me. Like the saying goes you never know what you have til you loose it, for us we know the value a real SSN has but those who've had it and dont appreciate or take advantage makes me kinda aggravated at times. WE on the other hand will put it to good use && make something greater of ourselfs!!! ONE STEP CLOSER, KEEP MOVING FORWARD -

i was about 9 yrs old, waking up trying to watch cartoons && all the channels i would turn to had the attack footage. i didnt really know what was going on. heading to school my dad was explaining that it was a terrorist attack && to pray for the lost people. As soon as i walked into class the teacher explained everything && i was shocked something that horrible happened. Now i am not american but was raised here since age 3 && i felt it just like any america would have. R.I.P to all the lost souls -

I agree with all of you. Its something personal that only close friends & family know about. When things got serious with my husband (us citizen) i had to tell him because its something that affects him too. In reality its no ones business but it kind of does suck when i can't get into a club, bar or anything that requires a "valid id". I cant wait to get my situation fixed so i can show it off to the world lol

yeah my facebook shows i was at home && out with my family with check-in's at those places. A day before was my brothers high school grad & a day after father's day at my parents.... do photos count too?
