I was wondering once i get my ssn, will i be able to apply for fafsa?

Up to where I know, no. Only citizen and residents can apply. However if youre in TX there is another form of FAFSA called TAFSA, I included this link for more info:

No, we don't qualify for FAFSA... and I see you are from CA ... you can apply for the CA Dream Act which allows you to apply for in-state financial aid such as Cal grants, BOG fee waiver, UC and CSU grants

well you need to fill out the Dream application you can find it on this page www.CalDreamAct.org and after that you just have to wait to see to what type of Cal grants you qualify for, there are different types of cal grants some are based on your financial need (income) and others on your GPA which i think they are called competitive Cal grants .... if you can ... you can go to the financial office at your school and they should be able to help you with the application and give you more info about the different types of Cal grants and tell you which ones you qualify for .... depending on what type of Cal grant you qualify for you might receive up to like $12,000 dollars , not sure if every year or every semester :/ .... I think it's every year, but not really sure , but i advise you to just go to the financial office at your school

i currently live with my aunt and uncle but they are not my legal guardians. both my parents passed away.. soo what i do put for income stuff? cause i worked a little side job under the table payment to pay for my 1st semester of school.

yes, you do not have to pay it back

humm,,,, not sure on that one :/ but like i said try to go to the financial aid office at your school and tell them about your situation or just simply tell them that you need help filling out the dream application and they'll tell you what you have to do in your case, that's what i did i went to the financial aid office at my school and they were very helpful

Has anyone been approved for cal grants yet? I applied for it last July but I never received any money or positive answer. I heard that after the CSU system distributes all the money to legal residents, then they will give any leftover money to undocumented students. The problem is that there is not alot of leftover money and so the california dream act doesnt do much for us then.. Does anyone know someone who is getting financial help next semester?

I heard some people who get a ss applying for fafsa. My friend did it and she is neither a citizenship or resident. However she has a ss and she came to the usa with asylum

I'm going to school in nevada but live in california can i still apply for calgrants or would i have to do something different since apparently we don't qualify for fafsa? can someone please message me for some more one on one help? I'm so confused
